That's the drop below the boulder, looking back up from the bottom.

Sorry I don't have any photos or stories to post! Really sorry.

That is one of the better photos of how the boulder, hallway mechanism works. Great photo and really thanks for sharing!

Only ride I have every broken down on was the Monorail. Not really worthy of photos.

    Re: Ride Breakdowns

This is not a "ride breakdown" story, but it may explain some things.

Last week, I was getting set to ride Haunted Mansion. Just when I sat down, I noticed 2 disabled people waiting off to the side - 1 was in a wheelchair, and the other had a guide dog. About 1/2 way through the ride, it came to a complete stop for about 5 minutes. I assumed that they were accomodating the individuals with disabilities.

I don't know how common this is, but it may explain some things.

PM used to break down all the time. Getting evacuated off of that is scary! That happened to me and my brother two times! You had to walk along the track, long way down! Single file. SCARY!

I know guide dogs and people with guide dogs get to go through the side and avoid the peoplemover (which is hard for guide dogs. They have to be trained to go on those and esclators.), you have to wait until certain doom buggies come (I think you can load on 67ish?) and then go all the way through back to the loading zone and go up in the elevator. It's weird.

Monster's broke down on my birthday trip. It was very weird because we had Pearl and she was cool as we were walking by the Monsters. They tell you not to take pictures and such. We broke down in the bathroom/locker room scene and had to walk back through everything. Seeing how small Mike and Sully is, very creepy. Also the tunnel you get exposition in, weird in the lights.

    Re: Ride Breakdowns

What's funny about breakdowns and being escorted off a ride is that is a MiceChatters' dream. I remember being disapponted I never had a walk off and then I got the Holy Grail of 101s Indiana Jones! Got to walk from the bridge all the way back. What's funny is it took me 35 years for this to happen and then the next week I got walked off of Pinocchio.

There is another thread (worst day ever) where they got stuck on Splash. Again many MiceChatters would absolutely love this!

Yeah, my wife has been to Disneyland 4 more times than I have. In those four times she has had Space Mountain e-stop and had to be pushed off with the lights on... evaced from Mr. Toad by flashlight in total darkness (power outage), stopped at top of Splash. All I've had is the Monorail pulled into TL station by the tug.

Evacs and sitting at the top of hills really is our dream here on MC.

It's so true - all my dreams came true when I got stuck on - and evacuated from - Splash during a trip to WDW in March. I know this thread is in the DL section, but I'll share photos if you guys deem it appropriate.

    What do you say?

    Re: Ride Breakdowns

We were evacuated from Splash once. We were at the bottom about to go up the hill. There was a group of people at the very top and maintenance guys had to come and tie them off before the passengers could get out. It looked pretty scary to me and I was glad we were still at the bottom!

I thought walking off was pretty fun, of course, and they took us through some big back lot.

I think they gave us a fastpass to Space Mountain, which when we went over to it was also broken down.
Maggie doesn't get along with the other babies . . .
