Well... since this is a Disneyland thread, most will probably tell you disneyland is better.

I think disneyland is better than the Magic Kingdom, But I'd rather take a trip to Disney World than Disneyland. More to see and do.

Again, Fun is a relative thing. I think DCA is fantasticly fun. Others here will disagree. Be sure to check out the "Disney's Electrical Parade" Formally known as "Disney's Main Street Electrical Parade"

however Soarin' here has long lines as well. Best to fast pass it.

Is the Electrical Parade any diffrent than SpectroMagic? Whats the fireworks show currently? Wishes is great, but I wish it was a tad bit longer.

Is Mr.Toad's Wild Ride like the one that used to be at WDW? I was a huge fan of that ride.

    1. Yes, The electrical parade is very different from Spectromagic. For one, no creepy baby-faced creatures. I think it's the best Disney Parade ever! Always brings a tear to my eye.

    2. The Fireworks show is Remember: Dreams come true. I don't really like firework shows, but I think that "Remember" is the best of the best. It's based on alot of the different Disney rides plus a good helping of disney magic. It's sometimes a pain in the butt to wait for, but it is a fantastic show.

Some things to remember if you've never been to disneyland:

    1. Disneyland is very small compaired to Magic Kingdom. The castle it'self is particularly tiny.
    2. Get park hoppers and treat both parks as if they are the same. It's not a big deal to go from one to the other... They are less than a football field away. No busses or monorails required.
    3. Make sure you don't skip any of the 'classic' rides because you've done them at Disney World. There are lots of differences that are fun to discover.

yep. At least as far as memory serves me it is the same....

it was one of the original rides on opening day, so even if there were differences, it was the way walt wanted it.

    Re: Disneyland- Better than WDW?

I've been to both many times, and I can say that overall I prefer the Disneyland Resort to WDW. DL is definitely better than the Magic Kingdom in WDW, in terms of classic attractions, ambiance, detail, and just plain history. But we love WDW for Epcot and the Animal Kingdom. Also, it is nice to be on the larger property with an opportunity to afford staying at one of the hotels, which we can't do very often at DL.

DCA is fun to us for a few of the attractions, but the level of detail isn't there.
