    Disneyland in the rain :)

We are planning on heading over to Disneyland tomorrow, but the forecast is calling for light rain. I have never been while it was raining and would appreciate any suggestions for dealing with the weather.

    Thanks!

That's so funny...wife and son and I were thinking about going too.......they have ponchos with Mickey on them at Disneyland...which are helpful.....and i'd suggest bringing paper towels or something to wipe off the seat on the tram - and any outdoor ride that might have some water on it...so you don't have a wet rear all day

Disneyland is the best in the rain, half the crowds and more fun! They sell ponchos

If you're a fan of rain, go for it and enjoy the minimal crowds! If you're like me and start cringing whenever it starts sprinkling...yeah, you probably won't want to. (In all fairness, I do come to the park with a lot of stuff to keep dry--backpack, camera bag, classes, etc. Although I recently discovered that the second item there can withstand quite a drenching!)

My last trip was in the rain. It was so much fun. My advice would be to wear waterproof footwear. I'm getting rainboots especially for my next rainy trip. I ruined my Uggs, but they sure were warm. You want to make sure your feet are warm and dry. I didn't use a poncho, we just used umbrellas.

Definitely watch out for puddles, they can get deeper than you may expect. I stepped in one once near the hub as I was making a dash to the Starcade with a friend so we could get out of the rain. I got my shoe soaked!

I like a light rain at Disneyland but keep in mind I'm from Arizona and don't get a lot of rain. So when it does rain I run outside and play in the water. However las year I went to Disneyland and it poured cold rain and we were miserable, so I guess it depends on the rain. Light summer rain = awesome, Heavy winter rain = sucks.

Go for it and have fun! But whatever you do, DO NOT ride Splash Mountain because you might get wet.

Bring extra socks. I found that even if the rest of me was wet, having wet feet was the worst. And unlike your shorts & shirt & whatnot, they ain't drying out on their own.

I was at DL & DCA yesterday during all the crazy weather and you'd think that rain would be annoying, but it really isn't. It clears the streets and walkways, it emptys the rides and it makes for a quiet and nice day.
I didn't plan for rain and was in flip flops, but honestly it wasn't that bad. Jeans and a sweatshirt were all i needed.
If you think about it, most of the attractions are inside and they are closed due to rain if they aren't so go at it and have fun!
When it really started to pour heavy rain (which it did for maybe 10 mins at a time) we'd just find another shop and walk around looking at all the new merchandise.

I live in Seattle and a rainy day in DL wouldn't make one bit of difference to me! Go and just have fun!

    Ok, Dallas Raines here. Lol

Actually when it rains in Southern California it usually is pretty cold. This is sometimes surprising to people who don't live here and assume that just because it is sunny all the time, it will be warm when it does rain. Southern California's storms usually originate in the Gulf of Alaska so when it does rain here the temperature rarely gets above the upper 50s.

Having a Mediterranean climate, it rarely rains in Anaheim in the summer. When it does though it is a bit warmer because these rare summer rains originate in the tropics. If it doesn't rain during these conditions, it can get somewhat humid -- at least by So Cal standards.

Yeah, when we were there when it was absolutely freezing when it rained, but I have been there when it was pleasant. It might have been since it was summer any temp rain was refreshing. I will say that some of AZ's monsoon rains are truly hot. It's almost boiling water falling from the sky. Those storms usually originate from the south and dump when the outside temps are up in the 100's+.
