From that it sounds like they are only doing WDW. Keep going Data!!!! Even if they they take Disneyland u can make uhhhhh... Oh...DCA. If you do do DCA make sure to capture all the detail there and the magic put into it.

Original article from USA Today: http://www.usatoday.com/travel/news/...y_N.htm?csp=34

Mentions only Disney World and Paris, not Disneyland. "Other Disney properties may be next," though.

Not quite...I guarantee you they'll obscure backstage areas somehow or completely fictionalize those areas, and one of my biggest motivations with my project is continually improving my understanding of how backstage relates to onstage. I'm looking forward to seeing their model--as in, really really looking forward to it--but it'll serve a different function from mine. And, as others have pointed out, Disney hasn't explicitly said they're planning on doing Disneyland at all, anyway, and if they do end up doing that, it won't be for months or years.

Yeah, that is true. They will alter backstage areas. And sorry I did not notice it was only WDW. I guess this thread does not belong here.

You're going to make your Disneyland model for Google Earth?

You have no Idea how many times he has answered that question before.

I'll let him answer it again!

Nautilus speaketh the truth, my friend. So many times, in fact, that it's now part of the FAQ on the very first page of my thread. The very short answer: no.

Data's is so much better than Disney's will be for G.E. anyway. I mean, come one... it's got backstage! And ride interiors! And track layouts, etc. Blows away anything Disney is going to do, and anything that G.E. can support. Though I would kill for remote interactive access to Data's model even at this early stage of things.

Awww, thank you. I meant what I said, though--I'm really looking forward to seeing their model. I mean, a team spent 10 days photographic every nook and cranny of the resort...that's gotta lead to pretty impressive end product.

Hehe...maybe someday soon.
