For anyone that goes to the Disney(land) Outlet

This is, obviously, a merchandise question. Right now in the park, there is a Disneyland hoodie with a vintage Tinkerbell and Mickey Mouse with various vintage symbols representing different attractions. About a year ago, there was a hoodie somewhat similar to this, and it had the Tinkerbell on the front, the old Disneyland logo on the back, and inside of the hood were blue stars I believe. I wanted to buy this, but when I had finally saved up for it, it was gone and replaced by the other hoodie I mentioned.

Has the first hoodie ended up in any of the outlet stores? I've been watching ebay to see if it would pop up there, but alas, to no avail

I haven't seen it but I'm going this weekend because I got an e-mail that they have a new shipment at the fullerton outlet. Would you want me to grab one for you?

That's very sweet of you to offer! My concern would be on how to exchange...and I mean I live about an hour away from Disneyland so it's not a huge hassle for me to go myself, I'd just hate to use the gas and not find the hoodie there.

Naw, just let me know if it's there. I've been curious to actually look around there...maybe I can convince my boyfriend to take a trip down there with me

When they run out of a few sizes of a certain design and color, or it's the end of a 'season' or past the event date (like New Years, Grad Night, Grand Opening, Holiday and Anniversary marked items) they don't want it to be obvious - because not having it in your size is "Bad Show", and Grad Night 08 merchandise will look really bad and never move...

So they pull the remaining stock of that item from the Parks and send them to the outlet stores - The frustrating thing is, you might find the item you want at the outlet is only available in Small and Medium, no Large and XL. Or vice versa. Or S and XXXL only.

It's always an adventure shopping there. I have "Light Magic" shirts and sweats I got for a song, and a "45 Years of Magic" mousepad.

Dammit, I missed the new shipment! Bruce is right about the size problem they have there. It seems like all small and M or all XXL or higher. I guess that's the store that sells crap that won't sell at the parks but I sure wish there was a better selection.

It's not a problem at all! When you see it in the Parks, you grab it at full price (Less AP Discount) and you know you have it. Hate to admit it but I've actually done this a few times.

When the merchandise gets remaindered out to the outlet stores, it's pot luck.

But it is a good way to get good merchandise that was severely overpriced at retail, after they discount it and put it out at the outlet store now it's worth the price. Disney likes to mark stuff for sale in the park at Full MSRP that NOBODY in their right mind pays - like my Seiko Chronograph Mickey watch was $325 'street price' at most stores and $475 MSRP at the DL Main Street Watch Shop. And a lot of the time they get it, from those who don't know better.

(And $50 on closeout at Fedco so I grabbed two, but that's another story... Reminds me, due for batteries for the summer.)

I was just there yesterday. They said that it takes a few days to a week to get the new stuff processed and out onto the floor. Sorry, didn't look at t-shirts and sweatshirts this time. Pirates movie stuff is very low-priced right now, though, and some 50th stuff is still there.

Eddie: You mean to tell me you could have taken your hand out of those cuffs at any time?
Roger: Not at any time. Only when it's funny.

I know the one you are talking about because my friend bought it at the park when it was available.

I was just at the outlet last week and didn't see it.

Do you know anyone who is a cast member? Maybe they could check Company D for you?

Fabulous stuff there and it's all 50% off park prices!

I just went on reconaissance (just for you, since I had the day off) and came back. The only thing that would resemble what you described were two items.

The first was a zipper brown hoodie with the vintage style Disneyland 50th anniversary retro look. It had tinkerbell on the front and the retro disneyland designs on the back. Only small sizes were available.

Another one was also brown fleece pullover hoodie and it had a pink and white "tinkerbell" in big words on the front. I didn't check the sizes but there seemed to be a decent amount.

I would highly recommend call Delivears. Both west coast and east coast since htey have separate stock. i have been very successful in finding replaced items. shipping is a bit much when coming form the east coast, but if you want the item enough, its so worth it.

    (800) 760-3566 Disneyland Merchandise Line
    (800) 362-4533 Disneyland DelivEars
    407-363-6200 East Coast WDW
You can never run out of imagination. The more you use, the more you gain.
