    Cool Singing Seals Café

I've been wanting to post this for a while, but never got around to it. Anyway, Singing Seals Café would be in DCA, in the Wharf area. I was thinking that it could go under the wooden walkway, under the fish photo spot, right by the water.

As you can tell by the name it is a café. The twist is, that there is a line of sea-lions on a rock in the water. Then there would be a conductor (music conductor) sea-lion on a rock named C.S. Bark (or California Sea-Lion Bark-he's obviously named after Johan Sebastian Bach), in the guest outdoor seating area. Then every half an hour or so, the sea-lion animatronics pop to life and the conductor leads them in song. The sea-lions will sing various tunes, only barking them (think of the singing dogs singing jingle bells, if you've ever heard it-but instead of dogs they're sea-lions).

My brother was also kind enough to draw pictures of the sea-lion characters.

Please leave me any comments or suggestions. Thanks a lot!

Sorry, I forgot to tell you what the menu would be. The menu would consist of various fish and other sea flood plates. And for the kids, fish and chips.

That's pretty clever, I like it.
The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with children’s toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You know…the Mickey in us.

    That looks nice

I'm sure people would enjoy that or be annoyed with it, but It's a neat idea, and a great way to make pacific Warf a little more fun and eventful.

P.S. can the food be a little more diverse? I've never liked sea food

Yeah, it probably might annoy people, but it makes it more like a real wharf.

Ok, I'll try to think of something that isn't sea food, but still matches the theme.

Not a fan of seafood, but it seems like a good idea. Especially since Wolfgang Puck pulled out of Avalon Cove.

no argument that it would enhance the warf, I guess it being annoying depends on how well it's executed and how irritable those people are

really, the possibilities of food are endless, If you've ever been to a warf, you'll notice the million different styles of restaurants there, and how it works in the atmosphere.

Um... a most interesting idea.... not sure about "barking" the songs though. That might be grating on the nerves after a while. Or you could make them full on cartoon AA's and have them actually "sing" real songs, maybe even barbershop quartet style or something.

Sounds nice, but I don't trust Disney Dining enough to cook up seafood that's not going to make you sick. They can barely serve decent regular food as it is.

I kinda assumed they were going to be somewhat cartoonish, I mean there's a conductor seal so we're not exactly talking realism here. I agree something in the Davis tradition would be very cool.

That is a cute idea. If they are going to have the seals, they there should be a touch tide pool area where you can handle starfish and rays. My thinking is going overboard but i was reminded of the wharf in Santa Barbara where they have that.
