Iíve been thinking about the Mr. Potato Head AA and it got me to thinking about something Iíve always thought was cool, which is the Rex AA in ST. I have always thought that the concept of an AA guiding a ďspielĒ ride was a very cool idea. The limitations of the 80ís technology however, prevented any interactivity or even changing the spiel, resulting in less repeatability, and the ongoing jokes about it being his first flight.
Now with improving technology for creating interactive AAís with multiple speech options, and with trackless technology, it would seem that an AA could guide you on virtually any attraction. Iím interested to see what kind of attractions people might come up with where you could use this concept of interactive AA led spiel rides. Obviously this would be expensive, so practical ideas would probably require large capacity ride vehicles, but Iíd also be interested in ideas for smaller ones as well.
A couple ideas Iíve had are a ride for Frontierland where your ride vehicle is a wagon with an old stagehand AA and horse AAs that would interact with guests on the ride. I also had an idea for a boat ride for that a few of us have been talking about for DCA, that could have Steamboat Willie as the captain. Iíve got a few more but Iím interested in seeing what creative ideas others might have.
