Today I was at Disneyland for one last trip before moving back to the Chicago area. I was with my wife, her sisters, and two of our nephews, and as we got off of the Matterhorn and were walking towards the Hub, we passed Ed Grier and I did a double take as I tried to remember why that guy looked familiar. I noticed his "Ed" name tag and stopped in my tracks.
I said "that's the guy in charge of Disneyland!" My nephew wanted to meet him, so we backtracked and I introduced myself and the rest of my family. He chatted with us for a couple minutes and then we went on our way. I looked back and realized that I had completely overlooked the camera crew following him around, and we had probably interrupted them, oops! (Sorry about that Ed, and camera crew)
Anyway, that and seeing my first Disney Cat by the Hungry bear made my last trip to the park for who knows how long a great one!
PS. When I looked back, Mr. Grier was walking and talking with a woman in a light green sun dress. Anyone know what that was about and where that video footage will be used? I think they got us talking with him on tape, and it would be fun to see it someday.
