    Adventureland Shooting Gallery

Does anyone remember this or what year it was removed?
I posted a photo of it on my blog today, but I couldn't find out when it was removed. This pic is from a 1964 guidebook, but I didnt find it mentioned after that. Maybe it was just because other bigger and newer attractions took space in future books. Any idea? Has any site catalogued the introduction and removal of DL attractions?

    Re: Adventureland Shooting Gallery

I bought a book at Disneyland a few years ago that shows what attractions used to be there and what took there place. The shooting gallery is mentioned as having used actual pellets to shoot and the targets had to be repainted every night. They kind of left it at this, intimating that this was the reason for its removal. I'm not sure if that is true or not, but it seems a viable reason. It also didn't look like a very big shooting gallery either.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

^^ Thank you! I would have guessed it closed around 1979. How time plays with your mind!
