When I went to the Park at the beginning of this month, I didn't see the walkaround pirates (Timekeeper, Olin, etc.). Have they gone the way of the pirate stunt show?

I saw a few pirates walking around NOS the beginning of the month. My son had his picture taken with a few of them.
I will say that they weren't getting a lot of attention though.
They are slowly getting phased out, the Pirate show was the first major thing to go and now we are seeing all the pirates leave in turn.
I haven't heard a single thing that is official.
Actually, what happened to the Pirate show? I noticed it disappeared but I never heard what happened.
Anybody officially know?
I thought the show was on the island now???
Most of the times I see the pirates on the Island singing their songs, but I have to say I don't see them as often as before.
I also wonder why they stopped the show, it was very entertaining. Although I doubt that it will be brought back since a lot of the elements of the show are now gone.
Saw one of the pirates Sunday, but he was headed over to Pirate's Lair.
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,it's what they are like in their HEART!

The pirates are being phased out slowly. They made a pretty huge cutback out on the island for the summer and it doesn't look good for them come september.
The stunt show left last summer because it was really expensive and twice as awful. People would watch it from the mainland, not actually hear what was going on (fortunate for them) and feel it wasn't necessary to come out to the island.
It doesn't look like the Pirates Lair overlay is going away any time soon, though the entertainment offerings are well on their way out.
no more Capt Jack?

Gee. I seem to remember several of us predicting that the whole 'Pirate Mania' thing would be a passing fad ~ not something to build a major refurb and land re-theming on.
Dream big. Do what you love.
The Pirate's Show was pretty awful so no loss there. It would be kind of pointless to have a Pirate's Lair without any pirates running about... I hope Disney upkeeps and updates what's there and does not just let it all rot again...
it only makes since that they would scale back the entertainment now, they arn't celebrating a ride upgrade or overlay this year
wow what happend to those rumors of a phase 2 Pirates Lair?
