    Mickey's Trick-Or-Treat Party

Me and my friends are planning on going to Mickey's Trick-Or-Treat Party in October. Has anyone gone to this event last year? What can we expect? Is it worth it to go? Can anyone give me some detail on what special event takes place?

    Re: Mickey's Trick-Or-Treat Party

I love this event. Last year I even went twice!! Seeing that I am just a kid stuck in a middle aged body I felt the need to wear a costume. I searched and searched and I found someone who sold me their Hag costume. I had a lot of fun just watching people get a kick out of my costume and the CM's loved it. The Hag herself actually sought me out so we could get a picture together....only problem was my batteries had died and the cell phone was the only camera we had.

The candy they pass out is awesome and I loved all the photo opportunites they had and they had some really great crafts for the really young kids. So I would recommend it to anyone.
Taking contributions to get me back to Disneyland!

My whole family and our good friends really enjoyed this last year (When it was called "Mickey's Halloween Treat"). There were trick/treat stations set up all through DCA (with healthy options availabe-a nice touch) and almost everyone was in costume. A majority of the rides were operational and there were no lines for most of them. There was an abundance of characters out for meet and greet.

Its a great event, well worth it for us.

I have gone twice. It was a ton of fun each time. I went the first year and last year. I had so much fun. We didn't dress up, but still had fun. I loved that last year there were healthy things as well as candy. They don't care if you go thru the lines more than once, and it is so much fun being able to just walk on the rides.

I went for the first time last year and loved it! Lots of characters, neat pathways for candy trails. I'm really hoping to go again this year. I sat and chatted with one of the lighting operators while my friend was dancing in the sunshine plaza with Lilo and Stitch. With the music and special lighting it really is an cool event.

    Re: Mickey's Trick-Or-Treat Party

There were a few reports from last year on Mice Chat ~ they are still available, just do a search .

They Do have a Cavalcade that goes down the Parade route (about 3 units long) and TONS of characters in their Halloween Costumes, they stop several places along the parade route, do a short 5-10 minute show, and then move down the parade route a little further, and do the short show, again. There are Trick or Treat stations throughout all of DCA, and LOTS of Character meet and greets for Photo opps. a few select attractions are open, and the do have extra decorations up for these evenings. Each year they seem to add something. Not sure if anything will be added this year, but it would be nice if they added more parade units.

Do check out some of the previous threads, with the photo reports. Quite a few people have asked about this event over the last month or two, so you will see info on those threads too.

Tickets for AP'ers are available online at the Disneyland site, now.

Here's a video of the Cavalcade from last year:

I never liked the parade, but now I'm thinking that it may not of been the whole thing. It just rolled right down the parade route, not stopping, probably because of rain.

Oh wow, Al don't take this the wrong way but you fit in pretty well with the Tremaines!

I really hope they bring those girls back this year. I'm dying to meet them.

But I don't want to go among MAD people!

    Re: Mickey's Trick-Or-Treat Party

The funny thing is how they continue fight with each other while the pictures are being taken! hahahaha and they are constantly moving around, not staying in the same position from picture to picture, look at this ~

Needless to say, it was a lot of fun! And the majority of adults there, were in costume! So If you go, definitely wear a fun costume, and get in character. I had a whole background story developed for "Cruella's Brother" I even was carrying around a small sign saying that I was looking for My sister, Cruella.

    Oh, Here's our family reunion:

Will the park be more busier than usual? How long are the lines to see the characters?
