Ok everyone, this is my first TR, so any suggestions to make my next TR better woul be appreciated!
I arrived at DCA at about 9:45. As soon as I entered the park, the queue fot TSMM was already stretched to Sunshine Plaza. When I asked a CM how long the line would take, she told me 4-5 hours. My jaw dropped, but I figured it would be long today.
At first, I headed over to the area between Wine Country and the DCA current "Hub" (Where they put the Christmas Tree). CM's had it blocked iff there for the Opening Cremonies. I didn't see much, but around 10:20 real Green Army men parchuted from the sky. I heard them doing marches when they landed, and the ride was then officially opened with a blast! Really, fireworks launched from the TSMM show building.
For some reason, I wanted to ride so I got in line. Yes, it was a very, very painful afternoon. I met some nice people in the line, so we had fun and talked about Disneyland "Secrets" the whole time, so that made time fly. It was all great until it started going 101. I was in line when it broke down the second or third time, and it was down for a good 45 minutes. When it fixed, I eventually made it to the loading area, and hopped on the ride.
The ride was great! I did not take any photos inside because that was my first time riding it and I did not want to waste 4 hours of standing in line. All I have to say is that it is far the best of any new SoCal attractions this summer. I thought the pull string would be hard to pull, and it came out very easy. I loved the interactivity of the Talking Potato (a.k.a Mr. Potato Head) I was wearing a Mickey hat and he said:
Potato: Hey you, yeah you in the white!
Me: Me?
Potato: Yeah you, take off that hat, it looks "silly"
Me: Ok! (takes off hat)
Potato: I'm just kidding! Put it back on.
He then proceded to take off his ear and sing. The ride overall was fun, my favorite game being Woody's game. The bonus round is cool too! It's a good ride, but not worth over 2-2.5 hour wait.
After I got my fill on DCA, I went to Disneyland, I went on like three rides in about 4 hours. It was jam packed there too. It was hot, I'd say int he 80's, but it was humid and sticky. Looks like summer is here!
Pictures are coming as soon as I figure out how to get them on here! Give it about a half hour to forty five minutes.
