I checked it out, from above, yesterday. They were hard at work. Disney cast members told it'd be open MONDAY!

Just a hint from the Electrician: Consider very carefully how you'll change the lightbulb every two to three years before you build something like that. Disney probably has a wall hatch in the back room of that set - open the door, and there's the bulb. You don't have a backstage area to hide that door, your kitchen backs up to the Living Room.

We have a customer with a 14' fully backlighted glass bar (top, front and both sides) with roughly 50 fluorescent fixtures inside to light it up - and it's roughly 5 - 6 hours of work to unload and take out all the shelves, and take out the backs and sides of the interior, just to get to the fixtures and relamp them. (Change ballasts as necessary.) Then put it all back together.

It's the Law of Unintended Consequences.

If I can spend 1 1/2 hours just walking around IKEA with no real intent on buying anything, I can definitely appreciate this attraction.
