Are you asking for help in resisting, or in justifying the abandonment of your responsibilities?
My advice: stay at work and enjoy DL after (but my opinion is generally not reflective of the MC majority)
If you must go then at least get 3/4 of your work day in and then beg off early. Then head to the parks and enjoy your afternoon to night!

Our system is being worked on today so and it's sooo slow. I can't work on any of my ads (graphic designer for AT&T yellowpages). Management has given the ok for us to leave without being penalized or having to use our vacation or anything. I should be good and stay but I'd really like to go to. I'm just torn I guess.
