Invisible Dog Leashes?

Does anyone remember the leashes with the "invisible" dog that were sold in the park? I remember seeing them everywhere in the 90's.
I was at the park the other day with my mother who took note that the leashes were no longer sold. I was not exactly paying attention when she pointed that out but now that I think of it, I don't recall seeing them anywhere, and have not seen them for a long time.
Anyone know when and why they stopped selling them?

Re: Invisible Dog Leashes?

It seems to me that I've seen them not too long ago. I'm sure someone will know where they are.

They're in the magic shop. I know I saw one not too much longer than a year and a handful of months ago.

They are still available in the Magic Shop and walking your dog has never been more fun!

Re: Invisible Dog Leashes?

There's a rather large one on display near one of the attractions... (Not my photo.)

I'm glad those are gone. I've never understood the attraction of walking around holding a piece of string sticking out in front of you. It just looks stupid.

Re: Invisible Dog Leashes?

Some people like them. I've always seen them at the Magic Shop on Main St.

Re: Invisible Dog Leashes?

Ah, the magic shop. Of course! I have not been in there for years.
Data, thanks for the pic, btw. I am much more unobservant than I though because I don't think I've ever noticed that!
And while I do agree that the leashes are somewhat useless and silly, I am traveling abroad to visit family (who as never been to DLR) and wanted to take that to them as a gift (as I am sure they would get a kick out of it).
Thanks everyone.

Invisible Dog Leashes are silly I really don't see the point in buying one.

Well, that's kind of the point, isn't it? Anyway, little kids usually love them. Of course they're useless and pointless, but when you're small, that's just the sort of thing you like.

Mickey Mouse ears are silly too, but they are still fun to wear. And Goofy hats. And clown shoes, but those are hard to walk in so you don't see much of that...

Re: Invisible Dog Leashes?

...I do remember those dog leashes!! It seems when I was little and we used to go to DLR there used to be a couple of kids with them...at that time I thought they were cool!!

Re: Invisible Dog Leashes?

This is an item that keeps coming and going. They were popular long before the 90s. I distinctly remember seeing them in DL as early as the late 70s.

Were you hallucinating enough to see the dogs attached to the leashes??
