Cutting Ears off Mickey Hats... new fad or just wrong?

Why would this guy cut the ears off his Souvenier Mickey Ears Hat? Oh well, he didnt even get it embroidered. If he had I would have yelled out his name and then pretended I didnt know what was goin on while he looked for the guy who yelled his name... oh the humanity!

Im just kidding. I know this man is jewish. I like jews. When we first saw him and his family (a nice bunch) enjoying a meal at the Plaza Inn a friend of mine quickly (and almost seriously) asked "whyd he cut off his mickey ears"?, before he really realized what was going on. I thought it was funny and decided to share it with you open-minded, non-judgmental, accepting, fun-loving people.
