DTD - Music in the Night

I've spent quite a bit of time walking through Down Town Disney at night, and found myself utterly enjoying the music of some wonderful musicians. The Disneyland Resort has so many all over, from inside the hotels, the parks, to DTD.

Though, I have been lucky enough to hear wonderful artists in Disneyland, DCA, the Hotels, none have I enjoyed more then violinist Drew Tretick; who sets up mid path of the Naples restaurant. Last time I was down there my girlfriend and I enjoyed a dance to his rendition of "Time to Say Goodbye." He's simply amazing!

Who's your favorite artist or musician at the Disneyland Resort?

At the parks, Nothing Beats the Billys! Best show hands down! (some are at DTD with side stuff) but in DTD the peruvian group "Alturas" is my favorite. They set up by ESPN zone. My hubby and I hear it from the DL hotel when we stay for our anniversary. They have an awesome rendition of "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps"

I haven't heard any in DTD that I like.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Oh man I saw a great salsa band playing in DTD near ESPN zone a few times... Anybody know who I'm talking about?

Oh, yes it is! My daughter and I loved the music of DTD's Scott Williams so much that we bought his CD, "The Road to Lisdoonvarna." A few Xmas' ago I heard another of the very talented DTD musicians, William Wilde Zeitler who plays the glass armonica, and I bought his CD, "Crystal Christmas." I don't think I've ever come across any DTD musician that isn't worthy of stopping to listen to. I just sincerely hope that everyone who enjoys these gifted professionals will go even further, than just standing and listening to them, by supporting them in buying any of the many CD's that they offer.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel with rooms overlooking DTD and I sat out on the porch and listened to all the music. I loved that part. The rest of the family left to go see a movie.

I missed when Suburban Legends used to play in front of Rainforest Cafe. Alas, we don't spend any time in DTD. Nothing ruins a day at the Disneyland Resort like strolling through an outdoor mall.

A few years back there was this great violinist in DTD. I'm not sure if this is the same one that is there now that you like, but I loved him. If I had the chance, I would have sat and listened to him for hours. He was playing a Phantom of the Opera suite, and it really got me. It was great.

Oh, yes! I remember him. I couldn't help but to stop in my tracks and listen to him play. He was wonderful!

I loved William Zeitler's glass armonica, too! It's such a unique instrument. It's fascinating to watch him play and the music is beautiful. According to his website, he's not scheduled at DTD any time soon.

I think I'll buy that Crystal Christmas CD from his website, though! Thanks, MMM!

I love most all the music, I'm really flexible. So it's all appreciated.

That's mah Momba, always pushing to support our local musicians. For my favorite, I'd have to say Scott Williams. One of the tracks on the CD we got from him is now one of my favorite pieces of music.
