The 70s. Space Mountain plus Big Thunder Mountain plus the new Matterhorn? Hard to beat three new Disney "mountain" experiences. (I know the Matterhorn already existed, but honestly, it changed the ride completely. Practically a new attraction.)

I can't be rational about this. I mean, Data makes a fine point about the 70s, but the 80s are the decade I remember best. Also, Tron Tunnel. I have a rather inexplicable fondness for the Tron Tunnel.

Re: What was a Better Decade: The 70's or the 80's?

I would say it's pretty close, but I'd give the 70's a slight edge, basically for the same reasons as Data. There are certain things from each decade that it's hard to imagine DL without now. Most significant of these for me are the two new mountains of the 70's and the new Fantasyland of the 80's.
The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with children’s toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You know…the Mickey in us.

What? Working for Peanuts was an Donald Duck/Chip 'n' Dale short that WAS released in 3D ... but there was never a place to display 3D films at CircleVision.

It was displayed in the Park, but well before the date you show it. It was played at Fantasyland Theater (the pre 1983 rennovation version, not the post Videopolis version).
