The lighting was a nice blue coming from under each bench. A strange flaw that I happened to sit in front of was a placard with the monorail logo on it was installed backwards. There is a photo of it in the link below. I checked the other cars on my way out and none of the others were flipped this way. Leaving from tomorrowland, the pilot seemed to really fly. It was a fast smooth ride to the hotel. He seemed to take it slower on the return trip, I don't know if this was the timing or turns that it has to take. Overall I enjoyed the ride. Take a look at my photos: http://tinyurl.com/monorailred
Interesting... two different versions, one that its A/C one that its just fans blowing air. I'm not there personally so I can't address this particular item but hopefully we'll get more feedback on it.

Time for a better job, or a closer theme park! Of cousre anyone can find an absurd scenario like you did, but for those that are debating comming like I said, they shouldn't hold back based on fears of large crowds.

I'm sure they are temporarily closed.

Most have reopend as of about 6:00. Its 6:30 and I have taken up a spot infront of the castle for the fireworks. I would say the size of the crowd al ready waiting is similar to what it looks like at 8:30. The flag ceremony was packed, and they had the Marine band playing.

Its cooling off a little, and there is no wind. Should be a fun next 3 hours.

I'm surprised there is no wind as I live 7 miles West of Disneyland and the wind is very strong here.

Have a good time. Looking forward to your updates.

Re: In Disneyland on the 4th

There is a good breeze blowing through central OC right now. But sitting down on the ground in the Hub, sheltered by buildings and trees, you would have no idea that it is actually quite breezy about 250 feet above you.

I'm fascinated by the concept of people thinking that just because Pirates, Indy, etc. were closed at 3:00 PM on Saturday, that they wouldn't be open by Sunday. I bet by 3:30 PM half the "closed" rides had reopened, and by 4:00 PM the list of closed rides had changed again with previously closed rides open, and previously open rides closed. Rides routinely and temporarily shut down and reopen all the time at Disneyland. And that wait time board only tells one third the story. Very likely that in addition to the four E Tickets closed around 3:00 PM, Mr. Toad was closed for 20 minutes, someone threw up in a Star Tours cabin and caused the ride to operate without full capacity, one of four tracks at Autopia shut down and backed up for 10 minutes because a car jumped the track, and Gadget's Go Coaster closed for 30 minutes due to a routine computer error.

Stuff happens all the time at Disneyland, and has been happening every 5 minutes all over the park since 1955. But until the Internet, we had no idea what was going on more than 15 feet away from us.

    Happy 4th of July everyone!
