If anyone remembers the rededication they did in Town Square every single day during the 50th anniversary, that's what they did last year only they edited the dialogue so Mickey says "anniversary" instead of "50th anniversary." Otherwise it was the exact same ceremony with a couple characters standing on the train steps and the Mayor of Main Street reading a quick speech, and wasn't something with any new effort put into it or anything :P
Last year, in the afternoon, they reread the dedication by the flagpole.
Don't you mean they replayed the speech? They'll probably just have a tiny ceremony in Town Square after Flag Retreat. The mayor of Main Street and a few Characters (I think the Fab Five). They'll say a few words then replay Walt's Dedication Speech.
so do they do anything special on July 17th? Do they rededicate the park? Do they add any special shows? Should I pay the 40 bucks to buy the blockout just so I can say I celebrated Disneylands birthday?
