Are YOU the ultimate Disney Freak???

Here is why I AM the 'Ultimate Disney Freak'...

    1) I was born on July 17th, 1972...For those of you who are not getting the date...The 17th of July was the day DL opened in 1955...AND...1972 was the year that WDW opened!

    2) I was a CM for at least a year.

    3) I plan world vacations with Disney Parks in mind.

THINK YOU ARE A BIGGER FREAK???? BRING IT!

Re: Are YOU the ultimate Disney Freak???

I worked at the Disney store just to get the free park tickets as a benefit!

I went to DL every weekend as a young child when we still lived in
    Arcadia.

I am a pin freak, a mini bean bag plush pusher, a penny musher
and I have an entire room in my house dedicated to Disney!
Everything in there except the stereo is Disney!
(when it breaks, I'll get a Disney one!) Plus, I have the credit card bills
to prove it all! And I have a brick in the esplanade!

I also plan every vacation around Southern California due to my desire
to go to the park and I camped out the night before the anniversary!

When I was president of my youth group at age 17, I arranged a
bus trip to DL for 47 people. Half of whom had never been to DL before!
(this was the same year as the 35th Anniversary!)

I'm not a bigger freak than you.

I've been an AP'er for 13 months now and I've gone every single week.. usually 2 or 3 times.

I actually watch the Disney movies at home quite frequently.

I know everything there is to know about the DLR and could hold tours myself if it was legal.

My senior shirt has all of the characters sigs.. and I mean ALL! Every single character that roams the park signed it.

    1. I have been going to Disneyland Park ever since I was three weeks old
    2. I have been a yearly Premium Annual Passholder since 1994.
    3. I have also collected all the Park Maps since probably 1997.
    4. I go to the Disneyland Resort 2-3 times a week.
    5. I have to listen to at least one song from Disneyland every day.
    6. I have over about 80 files of attraction music from the Disneyland Resort.
    7. I try getting every Disney game there is for the video game systems that I own.
    8. About everytime I walk into Disneyland I must purchase at least one pin.
    9. I have countless jackets/shirts/longsleeves of Disneyland attire.
    10. I would drive to Disneyland Park even if I had only 15 minutes left in the park (which I have been doing this summer. )
    11. I own many new and old Disneyland Souvenier books/guides.
    12. I own A LOT of Disney movies on DVD ranging in all genres of Disney
    13. I have been able to get soft-opening previews for Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Indiana Jones Adventure, Space Mountain and Remember...Dreams Come True.
    14. I saw many midnight showings for past Disney movies.
    15. My goal is to attend every Disney Theme Park around the globe!

I was at Disneyland on opening day in 1955 for my 13th birthday.
I have gone every since then more times per year than I can count.
    Look at my apartment. http://photobucket.com/albums/v309/lostboy1/?start=0
I wear nothing but Disneyland shirts wherever I go, even to work.
I wear a Mickey Mouse ear ring 24/7 even to work.
Mickey Mouse saved my life at Disneyland 35 years ago.

Re: Are YOU the ultimate Disney Freak???

I think I would consider most of us Disney freaks, or lovers that is!!! I don't think I can top anyone, but here is my small list!!

My husband and I have been passholders since we first started dating which was 1993. We were married in 1997 and now have 4 children and we usually visit weekly with all 4 kids in tow. Our kids have been going since they were newborns and they truly know how to behave in a theme park. I always here people saying I'm not taking my kids until they are old enough to understand, remember and behave, but my kids have practically been raised in the park. They've been attending since they were in the womb!!!! I have boxes of Disney beanies, I even have the original 13!!! There's more but my brain is tired.

Re: Are YOU the ultimate Disney Freak???

I can't say I can compete with all the other maniacs up above, but I would like to post some of my disney-esque quirks:

-I live in New Mexico, and go to DL for Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years, Spring Break, and any other time I can at least get a weekend off, as I am an annual passholder (usually... I need to get a renewal, and I'm going on Labor Day)
-had an annual passport ever since they were first introduced (and I remember a time the most expensive one was somewhere around $199)
-Downloaded a complete hidden Mickeys list and spent a full day just trying to find them all, riding only requisite E-tickets
-Have pulled the Sword from the Stone when I was six or seven, something like that... I still have the photo, medal, and certificate
-Have been on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire twice, and I need to hunt down my pins, button and cap to remember what score I got to
-Collected a set of Fastpasses from every ride that had it for almost every trip I've gone, minus last year (I think it was the pathetic 1000 pt after missing the 32000 pt question, and 16000 pt marks)
-Collect CM Reference Guides when they have been carelessly abandoned
-An AP that refuses to leave the park from opening 'til closing
-Have most every line queue soundtrack / spiel memorized by heart, including all of country bears, excluding Sub Voyage and BLAB (never been on it [ my friends think it is a little disturbing when I recite the Haunted Mansion spiel and theme at will])
-STILL have pins and beads from the 35th / 40th anniversaries (whichever one had the parade with huge character balloons and salsa-esque music, I believe 35th)
-Still remember a time when there was a delicious little eatery named Godfather's Pizza that was a great all-U-can-eat buffet value, and it was replaced by the Paradise Pier Hotel... a grand mistake, I say
-My mother won free passes to DL and free ice skating tickets at the DL Hotel from KTLA (we live in NM, mind you)
-Has an old DL Sing-Along tape from when I was a kid
-Have Maps and Guides from every trip I've gone
-Managed to pull a "Ride Every Ride that's Open" day, INCLUDING Rocket Rods
-Was there when the Columbia's loose docking cleat incident occurred, which we heard not from Disney PR or regular CMs, but from a janitor... I find they're the best sources of info on what's gone on because they don't feel a need to protect the park's image more than they already do

Alright, now I'm getting petty, so I surrender.

    1. I am a cast member in foods and refuse to quit because it would give me one less excuse to be in Disneyland.

And the foods cast member thing is SUCH an in-joke... you'd have to be a foods CM to understand why just remaining employed by TWDC makes me such a Disney magic freak!!
