    Question Mickey The Rat

Ok, is it just me or does the CGI Mickey that appears on some of the Disneyland buses look deformed? To me he (along with Minie for that matter) looks more rattish than like a mouse. It may be nitpicky, but whenever I see that freakish Mickey staring back at me I have to stilfe a scream.

In fact, all the classic characters on those busses (except Donald for some reason) look a little odd. Am I just being an old fart by not accepting a change in the times or do these characters really look a bit off?
What if the Hokey-Pokey really is what it's all about?

haha, when my friends and i see the cgi mickey, we always point out how evil he looks... i think it's the shadows on his eyebrows and smile that make him look like a rat.

It reminds me of the old Electrical parade pin that came out where Mickey's eyes were just a tad too big.

The CGI Mickey does look weird, maybe even rat-like. Maybe it's something about the CGI process, maybe it's just that we're so used to seeing him in 2-D. Whatever it is, I hope they get it fixed. It's like Mickey had some bad plastic surgery or something.

This is the best description. I ABSOLUTELY hate that Mickey. He looks less 3D and just more scarey! Its just not quite right.

CGI Mickey looks possessed! I'm telling you something has happened to that mouse. How on earth did that one get our of the many committees it had to go through. I mean, they chose CGI Mickey on purpose! Dear lord. Kids will be having nightmares.

I heard that CGI Mickey and Jar Jar Binks share an apartment. But I may be mistaken.

Mickey's plastic surgury got it's budget cut halfway through. He decided to change his texture scheme for a while to make it look like he was new, but on the inside he turned out worse than before. He is only just now putting in the effort to return himself to former glory... And texture.

CGI must die. That's all I can say. I hate CGI. Traditional animation is the shizzle, while CGI is just plain shizzle. I know shizzle means "sure", too.

CGI Mickey just does not look real. Same goes for Traditionaly Animated Mike Wazowski.

    Get my drift... ?

DON'T MESS WITH MICKEY! (Except maybe a personality transplant like Donald and Goofy's...)

I view the CG look as a crappy costume Mickey is forced to wear to make him look CG and thus more "modern". Damn Eisner and minions...

So if the original, hand-drawn 2-D Mickey was Walt's alter ego, could the new evil, possessed-looking 3-D version be a manifestation of Eisner???

    Just a thought.

    Re: Mickey The Rat

Well I'm very glad to hear I'm not the only one who thinks the CGI Mickey is a bit scary and not at all cuddly. I think his nose it too pointed and angular. Also his eys seem too large, like he is under some kind of strange spell.

I wonder if Disneyland or The Walt Disney Company has been getting many (if any) complaints about the CGI characters. Maybe we should all make our voices heard so the suits know how much we hate what they are doing.
