Re: Duffy The Disney Bear - Discussion
Too bad we can't run in the parks like they do in Tokyo. To get these pins you must have to run to the stores and be first there. lol
Do other pins(non limited ones) sell out like this? Im thinking Disney didn't think Duffy pins would sell so fast so they didn't make a big order.
Re: Duffy The Disney Bear - Discussion
I wouldn't worry about shortage of pins. Unless they're limited edition, this pins are here to stay for a year or 2 or until they come out with new designs.
Re: Duffy The Disney Bear - Discussion
Good to know they are here for a year or two. Im not all that into pins. I pick up what I like when I see if. If something is sold out, I wont know it. lol Well until now. The only long line I waited in for a pin was on the 50th ann. Gosh that was a long line. lol I wait hours for good Duffy items.
Re: Duffy The Disney Bear - Discussion
I was checking out deepdisney and saw photos of the New Coats that are already out. They look very cute.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm also looking at pictures of the newly opened Philharmagic store. Yay for the return of the "duck butt" hat! They had it in 1999 for "Donald's Wacky Kingdom", and now it's back for the new attraction.
Re: Duffy The Disney Bear - Discussion
Oh is that what that was? lol I was thinking they were celebrating Donald for some reason. I didn't know it was the Philharmagic. I'll have to check out the photos again. Thanks gurgi for saying something.

I wish they'd do one-off park goods like fan caps and snacks and stuff on Duffy scale! That seems like a logical next step. Maybe even for 10th Anniversary...? I'm just daydreaming!^^
Re: Duffy The Disney Bear - Discussion
I like that idea. He also needs a pop corn bucket. And a good fitting pair of sunglasses.
Re: Duffy The Disney Bear - Discussion
Still here at DCA. While at Treasures buying my Duffy pins and keychain, I noticed a new Duffy item. A light spinner! Ill post a pic of it when I get home.

Duffy is made out of some kind of fuzzy rubber an it's cute but I dont like that Duffy spins also! Also note locals, we got magnets and wristlets back! Still out of the sailor outfit though.
Re: Duffy The Disney Bear - Discussion
Thanks for posting and the the photo. I hope the spinners help in Duffys popularity with guest.
Good news about getting wristlets and magnets in. :)

Seems highly visible, so I imagine it would. The US finally has something that actually causes me envy. Although, the face is really more "American Teddy" and less "Duffy." But I kinda like that it makes him look less like a baby. Since "My Friend Duffy," anything that makes him look older is all good in my book!
This is a fantastic item to get kids into Duffy, but I really want it, too! I just can't think of a "magic" excuse. Is it small enough that Duffy wouldn't look weird "holding" it?
That $11.03 price sure is strange. Is tax included or something? Tax is always included in the price of everything at TDR, but prices are round numbers anyway.
Re: Duffy The Disney Bear - Discussion
That does not look like Duffy though...but younger kids will still enjoy it!
Re: Duffy The Disney Bear - Discussion
I agree the look of the bear could have been better. It didn't look like Duffy to me, but I think it will be okay for the states parks. And I think kids will like it and I hope that brings the parents into like him too.
Its nice that they are expanding the Duffy items. Im still waiting for the popcorn bucket. Come on Disney! lol
