Yesterday we went to WDW for the last time for awhile as my AP expires tomorrow and I sadly can't afford to renew it at this time (even with the monthly payment plan). A friend of mine and her Duffy came along for the fun.
Started the day at Epcot. Was cloudy/overcast at first, but after a couple hours the skies cleared up and it was a gorgeous day!
First stop was Club Cool for the "traditional" shot of Beverly.
Character Spot had a posted 15 minute wait but it was only maybe 5 minutes. Mickey LOVED that Duffy was dressed like him but stupid me forgot to get a photo of the two of them together. Minnie totally flipped out at Duffy & Shellie May's outfits and loved that Shellie's dress & bow were just like hers.
Minnie had some fun playing with the bears.
Duffy & his shadow
They were doing some surprise meet & greets over by the Imagination pavilion. We saw Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Hercules (sadly his line was already closed) and Snow White & her prince - we got in line for them as Duffy needed their autographs for his book.
Of course we had to see big Duffy - he LOVED my custom Duffy shirt (I had several ask where I got it)
Went into Disney Traders (the Duffy shop) and saw the Stitch & St Patty's/Easter costumes. The fur on the stitch costume was really soft.
Random photo in World Showcase
As usual, the most fun was at the Japan pavilion. My friend & I were posing the bears in a tree to take some photos, when a Japanese guest came along and took some photos of the action. My bears are in so many random vacation photos by others. LOL!
Of course in Mitsukoshi the bears tried to load up on Japanese candy. We didn't get all that, but we did get 3 packs of HI-CHEWS (love those) along with some of those cute little erasers shaped like animals & a little Rilakkuma bear plushie.
We got stopped by these awesome Japanese cast members who completely fawned over our bears. We spent a long time talking with them about Duffy & Shellie May and had me take a photo of them holding them.
Watching a cast member set a peal from the "pick a pearl" thing into a necklace"
They wanted to pick a pearl of their own, but I had to tell them no. Maybe one day we'll do that (I still have a pearl I got at the pearl diving thing they used to have at the old Sea World in Cleveland back in the 80s - had it set into a ring).
Of course we had to see British Revolution & Duffy got them to sign his autograph book after their set. They LOVE Duffy & one of the guys even signed his autograph "Duffy U Rock!"
We happened along a random well-dressed bear, so we stopped to say hello and take a photo.
Shellie May was having a little too much fun in the MouseGear shop.
We finished up Epcot, then headed over to the Magic Kingdom for the evening.
We had a WHOLE Monorail car to ourselves!
Said hello to Goofy
The Fairies meet & greet had a posted 25 minute wait but there was hardly any line, so we went in as we hadn't done that before.
We met Vidia, who adored the bears
And we met Tinker Bell!
The park was crazy busy (the combination of it being both Valentine's & President's Day weekend, plus Argentinean tour groups, school band trips, etc.). My friend headed for home around 7:30 but I stuck around a little longer as I wanted one last waffle sandwich.... I ended up sticking around another like 3 hours!
