Janell, try quoting someone who has it in their signature. All the code you need should show up. Just copy and paste that into your signature. Hope it works.

That should work, Janell. Just quote it, copy EVERYTHING ~EXCEPT~ the [QUOTE...1056475959] at the start and [/QUOTE] at the end, paste it into your sig and it should be all good.

Actually, coming back to the US has opened up a million new problems I didn't really understand were going on with my family. I just want to go back to my classroom and my HOME and I want to start shifting out of victim/survivor/shock mode and into creative action. But now Reactor 3 is looking potentially terrifying and I just can't see clearly. I don't like being called "flyjin," but I don't want to go back to Japan just to die. I'm not qualified to save anyone from what's happening and I don't feel I have to "prove" my love to the nation I've devoted my entire adult life and career to. I am not posting because it is just too hard right now to know what to say about anything... And I feel guilty for feeling that because it's not like my family or home washed out to sea; I'm safe in America. A "traitor," apparently...

I am pleased I could be of use with your sig, though.

Re: Duffeteer Society of Tenders, Artists & Romantics - Official Badges!^^

Im sorry for the problems you face by coming back to the states. I hope all works out with your family.

I don't understand why someone would be called a flyjin. From what I know you were there working and living. Not a citizen of Japan, I assume on a visa. That visa would expire at some point and you would then have to leave. Maybe there are extensions, I know DH had one extension when he was here under a work visa.

So by you and others who aren't citizens, leaving Japan so what? If something bad happened here in the states, Im sure those who had some other place to go may leave and what is wrong with that? Less people in a place that has been hit hard, means less people to get sick and need care. Less people to get hurt and need care. And less people to get stranded somewhere and need rescuing. If there is nothing a person can do to help, then maybe its a good thing they leave.

Maybe my thoughts aren't right, but I really see nothing wrong with someone leaving Japan. Heck if the Japanese wanted to come here to get away from it all and let those who can help do their work, then that may not be a bad thing either. I would hope that people would see its a matter of saving people lives not being a trader or flyjin. This world lost a lot of people that day, how many more do we need to loose? We have people working very hard and may loose their lives trying to fix things. I would hope that there would people left when its all said and done to carry on. Other wise what was the point in trying to save/fix the problem?

Im sorry DuffyD. Hugs to you.

Sorry about the technical difficulties today, guys. Try this new, edited signature. It's with Picasa, so I think there's no bandwidth limit. Again, really sorry. Just copy and paste everything from CENTER to /CENTER into your signature in MiceChat Settings.
