Re: "Home Sweet Christmas" 2011 Holiday Duffy Post Shopping Trip 11/4

Well I just got a new job and am slowly starting to get paid, which is why I need a little more time, time to get my finances in order. But like I said I don't really know yet. 2 trips would be too much trouble, which is why if I can't make this trip, I'll use my other contact. But if more people agree to a 2nd trip, I'd join! Still figuring this out.

Re: "Home Sweet Christmas" 2011 Holiday Duffy Post Shopping Trip 11/4

I am interested in the shopping trip. I'd be in for the first trip and likely only the first (unless MAAAYBE if it looks likely that they are coming out with a smiling Duffy, but I don't personally think they will this year...). I just cannot wait to get that Japanese Duffy and Shellie May goodness into my greedy little hands. (But if NO ONE wanted in on the first trip and EVERYONE had to wait for a later date, I would live...I'm looking at probably a couple badges or plushie charms and a magnet Shellie May, so IDK if those sell out. Either way, I would rather get my things earlier but can be patient. )

For anyone who sews, Shellie May's dress should be very easy to make. In fact, I am very tempted to buy a badge or cell phone strap and then make the dress for her! Though on a larger scale, I think I'd give the dress full shoulders and maybe even sleeves.

Then again, people who knit or crochet could make a nice Duffy/Shellie May sweater. The detail would be difficult, I think, but the real garments appear to be made of flat pieces sewn together, not one big piece of knitting, so I think that's how they accomplish those details.

Christmas is my favorite time of year so I really love nearly everything--unfortunately, with how this year has been going, I won't be able to. At least not this soon

I'm for sure joining the first wishlist group. I want the stuff that might sell out fast.

I also have a feeling that they won't release smiling versions of the bears this year. I would love if I'm wrong though, because I really need a smiling Shellie May.

No smiling bears this year. Since the 11/4 shopping trip seems okay for nearly everyone, we'll go with that. I'm sorry to folks who find this date inconvenient, but we'll stick with 10/28 for WishLists and transfers. I hope you can find a way to work it out.^^

That "coming soon" section is for the greeting/photo spots. They will announce that later. They did the same thing for Halloween.

Is it wrong that I'm already glossing over Halloween because the Christmas stuff just looks so amazing? I need to go home and savor my "Duffy's Halloween Dream" stuff though!

What's nice about the holiday season is that it lasts 2-3 months! Figure November, December, and January. Where as Halloween (at least to me) is limited to one month. But yes, savor the Halloween spirit!

PS: Thanks for helping me out on my new bear thread. I really appreciate it!

Especially this year, many of the Christmas clothing items (and the tiny bears with their tiny clothes) are good for the whole winter, which is part of why I'm so excited. Not that red and green stuff with holly isn't nice, but the HSC items can probably just be winter items to those who don't love Christmas, or to those (like me) who want to put the Christmas away in early January.

On the other hand, for Halloween the outfits UNDER the capes and hats for Duffy and Shellie May can easily be good through Thanksgiving, or at least Shellie May's dress looks PERFECT for fall. I don't remember Duffy's very well.
