I'm not sure how I feel about it...I like that they're considering Duffy to be linked to DCA (of course the initial plan was to link him JUST to DCA and Epcot, like he's linked to Tokyo Disney Sea...that didn't work out). But that poor plastic-wrapped bear!

Glad to see that they sealed everything in vacuum sealed bags. As mentioned in the video, these items represent items that are important to pass on to the next generation of cast members and imagineers. So glad to see they are forward thinking about that part. I sure expect to have Duffy around for at least that long.

This is a good idea! The future Duffy team will now what NOT to do in terms of how to design for Duffy! Haha!

Hopefully by then they will have stopped this tirade of subpar outfits and have changed the direction for the better.

I don't think it'll happen, but it would be so amazing if they opened the time capsule in 25 years and marveled at how quaint and humble his little outfit was, compared to what they have for him in the future. (And possibly workmanship, judging from other threads about the decline in manufacturing quality!)

I'm hoping that they see the quality of what was in the past, and what the future can bring them. As well as the improvements that they have made over the years including quality, love and care.

I can look back to things that are 25 years old and older (my self included in the mirror but lets not go there) from the park at any rate and some of them are the most beloved pieces of disney that I have. I can only hope that Duffy and all those other lovely ideas and dreams that they put in the time capsule will inspire new things within the minds of our future imagineers.
