We were sent over there with the message that only we would defend Disney quality.. We learnt quickly that the Japanese culture speaks to a level of quality that is hard to comprehend. They were all unbelievably skilled and willing to do the right thing.Bringing the Love since January 10, 2011

That is great! What's the theme? The costumes remind me a LOT of "Be Magical!" and the float makes me think of Jubilation! I'm really digging the purple and red.^^

Yes most of the costumes have been inspired by Be Magical. The parade is not new per say, it recieved two new floats with some character changes. It has a sorcerer / fairy/magician theme?
The first float has the Fairy Godmother, Blue Fairy, and Merlin. and in front are the three fairies from Sleeping beauty. And at the end there are probably another 6-8 generic fairies/sorcerers that use Segway technology under their costumes to have to appear they are "floating" along.

I think the "slogan" for DLP's 20th anniversary is "Believe In Magic!" and the parade is called "Disney Magic on Parade". So that explains the characters in sorcerer costumes. Definitely has to be inspired by TDS' "Be Magical!" on some level. My friend who is a CM at DLP is going to keep an eye out on the merchandise for me and let me know if there's anything that features Duffy in that costume because they know I'm going to want it if it's something good.
I love the red & purple look to his costume. It does look a lot like "Be Magical!", but I knew it would based on all of the designs I've seen for DLP's 20th. I think that theme actually works much better at a Magic Kingdom style park than it did for Tokyo DisneySEA, but that's just my opinion.
