I finally found my log-in/password (don't know what it was versus what I *thought* it was), but...
Both of the bathing suit outfits killed me. So cute!

    Re: New TOKYO Duffy Merchandise

It's time for a Duffy merchandise announcement:

On August 20th, two new pieces of Duffy merchandise will be released.

First is the new 2013 calendar that includes a pressed medallion and is priced at 1000.

And the second is the 2013 Duffy diary. It will be priced at 1800.

And this is a Duffeteer question about the Tokyo Disney Resort pressed medallions:
What kind of materials are used to make one? It's unusual to call them presed pennies, but there's no penny in Japan.

    That calendar is so tempting!

Tokyo Disneyland pressed pennies, 1996-1998 pressed penny collections says the medallions are either made of solid copper, or copper plated with chrome or nickel. I thought I once read they used blank medallions instead of coins because it's illegal to deface Japanese currency, but I don't know if that's actually true. It's probably better for the machines at any rate (I hear sometimes people put steel pennies in the machines here, which could cause damage, never mind if you happened to put a coin to be smashed and the coin had something sticky on it or something).

    Re: New TOKYO Duffy Merchandise

This is intended to be a comprehensive guide in English for DuffyPost WishListers and folks who just want to see the quality and variety of currently available Tokyo merchandise. For WishListers, item names should appear exactly like this on your Lists. If it's not here, it's not available. I will also try to remember to edit this list, making item text red, as things sell out, so that this will also become a record of Tokyo merchandise releases for the future. There are plenty of sites that document Duffy's costumes, but I can't find a single one that keeps track of the full line of merchandise releases. It's late, but here's a start.^^

    First up, Halloween Parade:

    HP Costume Duffy ¥3900

    HP Costume Shellie ¥3900

    HP Badge Duffy ¥1500

    HP Badge Shellie ¥1500

    HP Strap Duffy ¥1300

    HP Strap Shellie ¥1300

    HP Light Lantern Duffy ¥1000

    HP Light Lantern Shellie ¥1000

    HP Drawstring Bag ¥1000
First time for a Duffy version of this Tokyo event staple! I have been waiting for this!!
I hope this means we'll always have them, going forward.^^

    HP Mini-Towel Set ¥1400

    HP Postcard ¥200

    HP Stickers ¥500

    HP Candy ¥500
    La France Pear, 12 pieces

    HP Chocolates ¥900
Milk & Cafe Latte, 7 each

    HP Cookies ¥1200
Cocoa, Caramel & Strawberry, 4 each

    HP Cranberry Tea ¥1400

HP Dessert Cup and HP Dessert Plate ¥800 EACH

    Autumn Outings items:

    AO Large Tote ¥4500

    AO Small Tote ¥1400

    Regular Series Duffy items:

    Duffy (Small) ¥3800
This is the 30cm standard size for costumes!

    Duffy Bottle Pendant ¥600
    Fits standard 30cm Duffy.
TIP: Plastic "cork" is removable so message can be replaced for customizing and gifting!

    Duffy (Medium) ¥10,000
This 50cm one has the same proportions for a teenager/adult as the Small one does for a small child.
Comforting for big hugs and cute for cosplay, but (to me) looks cumbersome to carry around.
Still, people sometimes bring him to TDS, even on attractions!^^

    Duffy (Large) ¥50,000
This 65cm size is a piece of furniture. He could not be practically picked up and carried around.

    Duffy Hand Puppet ¥2500

    Duffy Pouch ¥2600

Also perfect for carrying an Annual Pass and FastPasses!

    Duffy Ballpoint Pen ¥950

Elegant in its simplicity, this is easily one of my favorite items ever. The design is timeless and classic, lovely.
TIP: The Bottle charm is just the right size for customizing Badges, Straps or Magnet Plush!^^

    Duffy Classic Mug ¥1000
Another item I'd been wishing for forever was a classic ceramic mug rather than the dessert cups.

    Re: New TOKYO Duffy Merchandise

Tokyo DisneySEA's illustration style and quality is completely different from the US release, as is the quality of the narrative. The first one is only written in Japanese, but I have translated it for the MiceChat Duffy FAQs. The latter two feature both Japanese and English text.

    Picture Storybooks:

Bear of Happiness & Luck ¥1200
Duffy's origin story, the authentic first introduction of the character we know as Duffy. Includes Sticker Sheet.

    Sweet Duffy ¥1200
Duffy Brings Love! In this two-part story he helps Mickey and Minnie connect on Valentine's and White Day.* These short stories also establish Duffy as the creator and proprietor of the Sweet Duffy cafe during the annual Season of the Heart. Includes die-cut puzzle.

*In Japan, traditionally men receive chocolates from women on Valentine's (February 14)
and then are expected to reciprocate the gift one month later on White Day (March 14).
This creates the month-long Season of the Heart from 2/14~3/14.

    Duffy & ShellieMay ¥1200
ShellieMay's origin storybook took Duffy illustration to a whole new evocative level. Includes Bookmark.

    Postcards from the Books:

    Sweet Duffy Postcard Set ¥1300
    Includes frame.

Duffy & Shellie May Postcard Set ¥1300
    With frame.

    Calendars:

    2013 Calendar ¥1000
    Includes Souvenir Medal.

    2013 Planner ¥1800

    ---------- Post added 08-18-2012 at 01:19 AM ----------

    My Friend Duffy items:

    My Friend Duffy Costume ¥3000

    My Friend Duffy Badge ¥1500

    TippyBlue Badge ¥1400

    My Friend Mickey Badge ¥1400

    My Friend Minnie Badge ¥1400

My Friend Minnie 50cm STANDING Plush ¥5300
These are great paired with 12" bears for nearly-to-scale photos or displays with the Mouses, or simply for Mickey and Minnie fans!

My Friend Mickey 50cm STANDING Plush ¥5300

    Treats:

    RSDSM Candy Lollipops ¥600
    Apple & Strawberry, 3 each

    RSDSM Chocolates ¥800
Milk Chocolate & Cranberry, 3 each

    RSDSM Cookies ¥1000
Whole Wheat & Cranberry, 6 each

    RSDSM Tea Box ¥1500
Black Tea with Mickey Sugarcubes & Duffy Spoon

    RSD Financiers ¥1400
    10 Pieces

    RSDSM Dessert Cup
    and RSDSM Dessert Plate ¥800
    EACH

    Duffy Head Popcorn Bucket ¥2800

    ---------- Post added 08-18-2012 at 02:21 AM ----------

    Regular Series Costumes:

    RSD Sailor T-Shirt ¥3300

    RSSM Sailor T-Dress ¥3300

NOTE: The "American Navy" outfits below that went on sale 7/1
    have already
SOLD OUT and will not be restocked.*

They were listed as "Regular Series," but apparently that was a mistake. Sorry if you missed them!

If you are one of the few lucky owners of these costumes, CONGRATULATIONS.
On sale for a little over a month, these are now some of the rarest sets ever.*

*Apparently there is still very limited stock of the Duffy version right now,
but they'll be gone soon, so I'm no longer accepting WishLists for these.

Does anyone have the ShellieMay or Duffy Coin Case? I'm curious how long the strap is.

I have it and the strap is pretty long. You can't really adjust the strap though as far as I'm concerned.

I see Japanese tourists wearing them at WDW often and the strap looks long.

Oops! Those sizes are all SITTING height. Full length is about a third longer for each.

    S = 43cm / 17"
    M = 72cm / 28"
    L = 93cm / 36"

    *sizes approximate
