Duffy on TV

I saw a Duffy plush on this weeks Greys Anatomy. Duffy was sitting in a patient room. The doctors were talking to the patient care giver and Duffy was sitting by the computer. You get a good look at him too.

Yeah! I'm so happy that Disney is really focused on marketing Duffy here in the USA! I would hate to seem him drift off and disappear!

Full-sized Duffy? I know on the promos for the ABC show The Neighbors, they had the young girl holding a 2011 12" Duffy, the ones that went for under $10 at the Disney Store online. Which isn't a bad size for a kid (or adult!) but I couldn't help but wonder how cheap Disney could be. I'm not sure if he's come up since the pilot; the little I've seen of the show since, the kids may as well not even exist!

Strangely, around Christmas, my friend was watching a made-for-TV movie, I believe on ABC, and the child had a bear named "Duffy." But it wasn't our Duffy. I wonder if that was an attempt at synergy that got derailed by the lawyers or something.

It looked like a 17" Duffy, no costume and he looked like our Duffy.

At first I wasnt a fan of the idea, thinking people would look at him more as just another bear. But Mickey isnt just another mouse and you see him from time to time in TV shows. So as long as it doesnt take away from Duffy cute storyline from TDS, Im okay with it. Yes I know a lot of people dont even know the TDS storyline. I still want to preserve that story as its the best for Duffy and I want them to build on that one.

Duffy was also featured on 20/20 tonight. The daughter of Anna Nicole Smith had a Duffy bear and it said she loves her bear.
