Lovely costumes. Too bad the seller doesn't know it is Shellie May vs. Sherry May.

In Japan, Shellie May translates to Sherry/Sherrie May because most Asians have difficulty pronouncing "L" sounds and it comes out as "R" instead. Hope that helps.

I got that; however, I would think there shouldn't be a problem typing it. Just saying.

If it's any consolation, google translate tends to translate it as Sherry, so they might have just plugged it in through there.

Didn't you post this before? Worth reposting, though. Some of those are really great. I bet Eeee-va could beat them, though. And probably mmommie, too...though how would I reallly know.../

No, it's SheLLIE May. I've embraced the one word ShellieMay, but I honestly cannot stand "SheRRie" and "ShellY," or "MaE" for that matter. If you love her, learn her fluffing name.

I am LOVING the Daisy Duck outfit that Japanese seller has. It's almost like Shellie May is Disneybounding!

    Thank you!

I'm almost certain mmommie's got me beat in the skill department overall (trying to draft these patterns is so nerve-racking for me!). But I love making costumes so I try. (Capes also cover a multitude of errors. )

Someday maybe I'll get a good enough pattern and the patience to make more than one of the same thing. I'm getting closer!

And I can't believe I didn't mention ILG in there, too. I guess I was just focused on board activity, but one of her original pieces was the basis of Duffy's D23 attire and is his single favorite article of clothing now. Those photos probably won't see MiceChat until after Christmas, but someday...

Ok, I saw my name mentioned-what did I do now? (Or in DuffyD's case what DIDN'T I do LOl)

I am going with my standard answer- whatever it is I didn't do it-and I am not going to.

No it was the Jack Sparrow & Angelica costumes I saw a Japanese seller hawking on Amazon.

I dunno. A LOT of Japanese fans call her "May" or even "May-Chan" on Fabebook. And both Bing translate and Google translate converts the Japanese spelling to "Sherry May" for some reason. But I do know pronouncing certain letters is difficult for many Japanese because their versions of words are different from our own.

But yeah the non-Japanese fans who keep spelling it "Shelly Mae" or "Shellie Mae" annoy me sometimes. I admit I was guilty of it a few years ago but learned quickly.

I have two Alice style dresses from that seller. They are very nice. I got them off ebay though, not Amazon.

I got frustrated with March...so I decided to go ahead and work on October because I already knew what I wanted to do with that month. However, I'm not quite satisfied with the pumpkin. Any critiques?
