Would you like the Hardy Boys books to be made into movies?

I keep hearing there is some interest in making a Goonies 2 and I really liked National Treasure. I think Disney could do a good job of making the original Hardy Boys books into a movie series.

A search for "hardy boys" found the following results:

  1. "The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries" (1977)
  2. "The Hardy Boys Mysteries" (1977)
  3. "The Hardy Boys" (1969)

I remember them. I liked that show. Is it on video or DVD?

Wow, talk about a blast from the past. I was smitten with both the boys for quite a while! One of my most treasured possessions is a 8x10 of the boys, I think it came in my fan club packet.

Re: Would you like the Hardy Boys series to be made into movies?

Well, it seems like there was a Hardy Boys is one of the series that used to appear on the original Mickey Mouse Club - sort of like Spin and Marty. The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries was a series that aired in the '70s or '89s. Today, you can watch the Hardy Boys (Matt and Jeff that is) wrestle in the WWE Raw and Smack Down brands. Those two haven't been getting along well, of late.

Now, with "The Rock" and "Hollywood Hogan" in mind, if would be way cool to take these two wrestlers and create box office mystery movies for them. Disney would have a hybrid hit on it's hands should it make movie sleuths out of Matt and Jeff (who would continue to wrestle for the WWE in these movies as well).
