Lost Boy Has a good reputation
Re: Harry get the Death Curse

In a note/udate to this story about Jim Dale the following was posted on The Leaky Cauldron Wbsite:

A spokesperson for Rowling has assured us that these comments were taken out of context in a gossip column.

Re: Harry get the Death Curse

More Rowling bitching? Good lord- I love her books and I hate her.

Last I heard from her she was griping about not being able to sit in a cafe and work without being recognized. Well- excuse us! We buy your books, go see the movies, buy the goodies- make you freaking rich and you bitch cause people come talk to you when you are in public.

Will someone get this woman a clue?

Now she wants to gripe about having lived with Harry for too long- then write the last book and spend your money and shut the hell up! Killing Harry would devastate people- it would break kids hearts who grew up reading these books. She chose to write 7 books- she makes the call and then she whines about it.

Frankly I find her intolerable- she bitches constantly about the very things that many people would love to have- the money, the fame, the acclaim and admirers and all she seems to do publically is slap people down for it.

Honestly- write the last book Jo- then go away and be a recluse with your multi millions- be a mom- do whatever...just shut up. Give us one more Harry Potter book- give us something worth reading- then go away because I guarantee you I don't think I want to read anything more from you. Harry is good enough.

She wasn't compaining about the people, she just didn't like the drawbacks that came with fame. It isn't that far-fetched that someone wouldn't like those parts of fame. Think of it this way. Say you become very famous and everywhere you go, people swarm around you, asking for pictures and autographs. Now imagine not being able to go to WDW or DL anymore because you literally have 100s of people swarm around you every turn you make.

Puh-lease.
Sorry- no.

I'm sick of hearing a woman who is richer than the Queen complain about the price that comes with fame.

Really.

Now the griping about Harry and wanting to kill him off- IMO she comes off as ungrateful and spoiled and obnoxious. If I did not love me my Harry Potter- I would never drop another dime on anything this woman churns out.

On edit: If, as Lostboy stated, these comments were taken out of "context" I would love to see what context they should be in- because all it did was add to my dislike of Rowling.

On double edit: I know! It was Rita Skeeter! The nerve!

Well... Isn't it kinda obvious that Harry is a Horcrux? If he is... then he probably has to die... because if he lived part of Voldemort would still be alive...

Re: Harry get the Death Curse

I forgot the Harry/horcrux discussion and am too lazy to go look for it -- why couldn't he be one?

sediment Has had a run-in with the rep police
Re: Harry get the Death Curse

At the end of Year 7, Harry wakes up from his coma of 11 years, due to the car crash his parents had. Yes, it was all a dream. Dursley's are actually a normal and nice family, and wizards, witches, and magic do not exist.
Pulled that out of a trash bin where Rowling lives. I'm sure it's just a bad idea that she has thrown away.

Or, has she?

I didn't reread the entire thread (because I don't feel like looking through 10 pages ), but if I'm not mistaken I believe the main reason people decided he couldn't be was because of the prophesy (Neither can live while the other survives). Most people will take that to mean that one of them must die (logically, Voldemort). However, couldn't the 'other' refer to Dumbledore (Neither Harry nor Voldemort can live while Dumbledore lives)?

Or maybe I'm completly wrong and the reason HP can't be the horcrux has nothing to do with the prophesy. Either way though, we can discuss for ages....but in the end, JK can do whatever she wants.

Re: Harry get the Death Curse

Well the whole death thing comes from the "no one can survive while the other lives" prophecy... I just want to know what does Longbottom has to do with that prophecy... He is a part of the plot twist, for certain...

I doubt very highly that Harry dies in the series...

I will say one thing about this last movie... Snape came into sharp focus...

Re: Harry get the Death Curse

Something big's gonna happen with Ginny, I can feel it.

Apparently the last word of book 7 is the word "scar." That doesn't give much away.

Hmm. And Harry CAN'T be a horcrux, because he has too much love in him. Voldemort can't inhabit a body that even feels even an inkling of love. And Harry can't destroy himself, I think... but I do believe that Harry will die, whether it be during the battle with Voldemort or him being so injured that it will just turn out that way.

Re: Harry get the Death Curse

Voldemort brings Harry to the dark side by killing Hermione, who now is carrying his baby. Harry, now having been half burned by a volcano containing a horcrux, is rebuilt by Voldemort but he is now more machine than human. He then begins building the empire alongside Voldemort, but unknown to both of them, the twins have been seperated at birth, but in different corners of the galaxy. Harry must now face Ron in a titanic struggle for good vs. evil, and Doby will teach Harry's son in the ways of the force.

Wait a sec....
