Special Harry Potter DVD at Target

Target stores will have a special 3-D cover on the deluxe 2-disc DVD for Goblet of Fire which comes out this Tuesday. Most places are offering it for $19.95 but I think I will pay the $22.95 for the speical 3-D cover. This is an exclusive for Target. Circuit City will have a lithograph, but I saw it and it didn't look all that special. I think the 3-D cover will be better.

Re: Special Harry Potter DVD at Target

Thanks.
I can go without the 3-D "pimped up for Target" edition.

$19.95? Which places are selling at that price? (I haven't gone through the Sunday paper yet.) I'm planning a trip to Costco ($20.99).

Costco does have the best price for the 2 disc one. I think the $19.95 is for the one disc.

More $$ for a cover that will face into my other DVD's? No thanks- but I will be buying it tomorrow. Very psyched!

Re: Special Harry Potter DVD at Target

I did see the BestBuy leaflet with the standard version (one disc) for $13.99. Hopefully, that is for wide-screen.
For PoA, I did like the idea of interviewing the minor characters as well as the main three, but I didn't like the shrunken head so much.

^yeah the shrunken head was a bit too much for that!

i definitely want the 2-disc set.

i wonder what the extra-super-special, collector, platinum collection will be like when they're ALL out! they always do that, don't they?

Re: Special Harry Potter DVD at Target

When I went to Target today to pick it up, they are offering 3 versions-

1 disc-full screen, no extras. $15.95
1 disc-widescreen, no extras. $15.95
2 disc-widescreen, extra disc, 3D cover. $22.95

So if you want the extra stuff, you get the special cover regardless.

Re: Special Harry Potter DVD at Target

I'm abashed. I said it was not worth the money for the cover.

Guess what I got.

I went to Wal-mart to grab it- and they were sold out of the 2-disc version. Well, I am not known for patience- so I went down to Target and they had the version with the 3-D cover. Same price as Wally-world- so I got it.

It's on as we speak.

Speaking of which- I have two things to say:

1- when did they change the appearance of Flitwick? He looks very different than he did in Sorcerers Stone.
2- Can I be an exchange student at Durmstrang? *growl*

Re: Special Harry Potter DVD at Target

They now have a four disc boxes set that has all four movies in it.

I have no doubt that after the 7th movie they will release a special edition boxed set of all 7 movies, with all the deleted footage added back in where it goes in each movie, and all the special extra, plus some new ones. They did it with Lord of the Rings, so why not with Harry Potter. I will get it even if I have all the 7 movies individually. The extended versions are fun anyway.

Re: Special Harry Potter DVD at Target

Dang, Costco had the 2 disc for $20 and I was going to get it. I ended up not getting it because I figured it would be cheaper elsewhere.

Of course I didn't get around to getting it somewhere else so I'm going back to Costco to get it.

Duh!!!

You could get a box set of the books, too. They're much better, though it does require some reading.
$94 hard-cover, at Costco.
Borrowing from the library is possible, too.
