Disney's Chronicles of Narnia - Christmas 2005

Just in time for Christmas 2005, Disney will release "THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE". Click here for the website.

If the movie proves successful, you can just imagine the wonderful rides and/or lands that could be wrapped around this theme. Animal Kingdom perhaps?

My mom is a big fan of the books. I guess I have to add it to my list of books to read this year.

The trailer looks incredible. A mythology based land at AK would definitely help AK steer away from the zoo stigma. The beauty of AK would only be enhanced by the addition of this type of land.

The theme could be used to tell the stories behind the mythology of the more famous creatures (unicorns, minotaurs, cyclopses, dragons and the like). Just as long as they keep the beauty side of it intact, it will be fine. Toon it up like Disney's version of Hercules, and it may be a total flop. I like Disney's Hercules, I just don't think that AK should stay away from anything more toonlike.

I love these books! If they start making attractions from the stories I will most definitely have to make my way to Florida.

My nine year old is beyond excited.....more excited than for the HP or Series of Unfortunate Events movies. She really loves the Narnia books.

They have all the books on DVD at Barnes & Noble for $125 or so?

I can't wait for this movie to come out in Dec 2005. I was watching the Movie Surfers on the Disney channel. They will go behind the scenes and talk to the cast & crew when it closer to Dec.

I adore the Chronicals of Narnia books. What I dislike about the books is the religious meaning behind the books. I wonder what sort of interplay there will be between families that treasure these books and those who have been figiting to restore the religions meanings C.S. Lewis intended - especially with Disney at the helm?
