'Monster House' special screening 6/30

This special screening is part of the 12th annual Los Angeles Film Festival.
'Monster House' is scheduled for release nationwide on July 21st.

When DJ and his buddy Chowder accidentally land their ball on their cranky neighbor’s lawn, they discover that the house across the street is even scarier than the guy who lives in it. With his parents out of town, DJ and his friends must do battle with the evil house before it destroys the neighborhood. UCLA Spotlight Award-winning director Gil Kenan uses motion capture technology and a cast of both wonderful newcomers and indie film favorites in this animated comedy thriller from executive producers Robert Zemeckis and Steven Spielberg.

LOS ANGELES, CA (June 15, 2006) – North American Midway Entertainment L.L.C., “North American Midway”, the #1 operator of midway entertainment to fairs and carnivals in North America, has entered into a unique agreement with Columbia TriStar Marketing Group to support Columbia Pictures upcoming innovative motion-capture animated film Monster House. As of June 7, 2006 the official “Monster House” attraction sprang to life and will travel to multiple North American fairgrounds providing a good scare to those who enter its hallowed halls.
Monster House is a very special movie. In addition to our conventional theatrical release, we will be presenting it in a very unique and special way,” says George Leon, EVP, Consumer Marketing, Columbia TriStar Marketing Group. “The movie will be released in REAL D 3D in more than 100 theaters across the country, which will put audiences right in the movie. The “Monster House” attraction becomes another interactive way to continue to experience the fun and the thrill of the movie.”

The Monster House on the midway is an interactive fun house that showcases key elements from the upcoming major motion picture, which debuts July 21, 2006 across the country, both in 2D and more than 100 special REAL D 3D engagements.
