TPR Goes To COMIC CON!!!

So I went to Comic Con in San Diego this weekend. For those of you who don't know (and knowing this crowd I'm sure ALL of you know) that Comic Con is the annual convention for people who are into all sorts of geeky stuff. Toys, comics, movies, dressing up like a Vulcan, etc...I saw some REALLY "interesting" stuff!

I think the photos tell the whole story....

Security was beefed up around the place. (Why don't they have these guys at the airports???)

This is what geeks think sex looks like! =)

Here's the reason why I stopped playing DDR!

AHA!!!! The one photo that makes this a legitimate "coaster" update! =)

So I saw all the Star Wars dorks and I was kind of making fun of them....

...and you know, that probably wasn't the best idea! =)

DUDE!!!! The King and Jack are Jedi's too?!?!?

Thanks for the pics. I went over to the TPR site and saw the rest. I've been following going through all the trip reports and picture galleries at TPR the last few months. One of these days I got to get registered for those forums.

I love it!

I missed the Stewie and Brian characters this year!

I was looking for them, too. Glad to see that Jedi!Jack was there again. He cracked me up before. :P

I was only there yesterday, but had a blast. I went dressed as Elizabeth Swann... and first thing in the morning ran into Jack Sparrow. THAT was cool.

coimc con rocked, but some bad news came out of the star wars panel, as it was confirmed by ILM that they have not been contacted by Diney to update the Star Tours Ride, and that the ball is in Disney's court, adn if we the general public wants to see and update to Contact Bob Iger's office and voice our opinion.

Did any of you hear anything about Piates of the Caribbean 3 by any chance?

At the disney panel they showed an extended trailer so to say of the action for Pirates 3. It was a rough cut of film taken so far, so most of the special effects were not done. They resume shooting in early august for the completion and then the effects guys goto work on making the magic. They also showed how the effects were done, and that was amazing to see, hopefully they will slap that on the dvd extras when it comes out.
