P.S. Your Cat Is Dead

Okay, I read this book many years ago, and I loved it, just LOVED it! I thought it was terribly funny and sweet. So I was a Blockbuster this morning and I saw a film version with Steve Guttenberg, released in 2002. Has anybody seen the movie or read this book or even seen the stage version? If so, what did you all think?

If I'm not mistaken, the book came out in the early 70's. Not sure about the play.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this thread. Great book and a very good play. Sal Mineo was in rehearsals for the LA production when he was murdered

The movie took many years to get produced and I thought it was at best, OK.

Having just read the book you might like to check it out.

OK, by my (admittedly) low standards of entertainment, I think the movie is freaking funny! I was never much of a Steve Guttenburg fan, but he just seems so right for the character.

The title made me think of a question...what was the name of that Disney channel movie with Ricki Lake and she had like a cat and solved mysteries or something.
