Timberlake to host Kids' Choice Awards

LOS ANGELES (AP) — He's an actor, Grammy-winning singer and two-time Best Burp Award-winner. Now Justin Timberlake can add another title to his resume: awards-show host.

Timberlake has been tapped to host Nickelodeon's 20th annual Kids' Choice Awards on March 31 at the University of California, Los Angeles.

"I'm revving up to have an even bigger blast than usual" at the ceremony, said Timberlake, 27, who is nominated for best male singer along with Chris Brown, Jesse McCartney and Sean Paul. "While honoring kids' opinions, it taps into the kid in all of us."

Timberlake previously won three Kids' Choice Awards, including favorite musical group ('N Sync) in 1999 and best burp in 2003 and 2006.

The best movie nominees are Big Momma's House 2,Click,Night at the Museum,Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.

Best male movie star nominees are Jack Black, Johnny Depp, Adam Sandler and Will Smith. Female movie star nominees are Halle Berry, Dakota Fanning, Keira Knightley, Sarah Jessica Parker.

Cars,Happy Feet,Ice Age: The Meltdown,Over the Hedge are in the running for best animated movie. Best television show nominees are American Idol,Drake & Josh,Fear Factor,The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

The Kids' Choice Awards honor favorites in film, TV, music, sports, video games and books. Kids can vote online beginning March 5.

That reminds me...(Going off topic, but still related to Nickelodeon)...

Did anyone see the last Dateline NBC pedophile sting operation? They nailed an employee of Nickelodeon (he worked in their web site division, I think) trying to do some rather nasty stuff with what he thought was a 13 year old girl. They busted him with the hidden-camera sting after he arrived at the girl's home.

You could just see the look on this guy's face that he knew his career was over...and then he even said it. You could literally see the life instantly drain from his face as he realized in the flash of that moment when the NBC reporter entered the room...that his life as he knew it, was over. Needless to say, Nick axed him toot-sweet.

Justin Smith met the nation last night on Dateline NBC and now today the nation gets to read exactly what he said prior to showing up. Pretty good timing, eh? This former Nickelodeon employee has a pretty disgusting chat-log, with copious amounts of porn sent to our decoy and more sex talk than you can shake a stick at.

Smith was sentenced to five years probation, sixty days caltrans cleanup, sexual offender counseling, no internet usage, no contact with minors and no viewing or ownership of any type of pornography. He also gets to register for life as a sex offender.

Young man...fine looking...early 20 something...good career and life ahead of him...game over, dude. Busted. Idiot.
