They are meant as a gift for someone very special and I am trying to surprise her. They must be in excellent condition as they are a gift. Please contact me if you have any of the 4 that you are looking to sell for a reasonable price. I live very close to Disneyland and as appreciation, in addition to payment of course, would be willing to assist in getting items if needed from the park. Thanks for reading my post.

Hello All!

As some may or may not know, I'm getting married at the end of October. My fiance and I have chosen to go to Disneyland for our honeymoon and since he has to be at the place he works for a year to receive vacation days (which will be Nov. 1st)we were planning on going a week after we got married or Nov 4th....until we heard about the potential Indy refurb in the fall.

Is there anywhere online that has a refurb or closure list for the year? I mean I'm sure Disneyland knows (assuming) way in advance the rides they are going to temporarily close and being that this is a favorite ride of ours, we didn't want to potentially miss it. We have no problem waiting if it IS closed when we planned to go, but that's the thing..I need to plan soon since this is probably going to be a busy year for the resort, but if I don't know when it's closed, I can't plan or plan around it.

If anyone knows anything, please let me know :)

Thanks!

I went through a lot of posts to try to answer my questions, but I couldn't find any answers, so hopefully these aren't a bunch of repeats:

Background info:
My trip is from Tuesday July 31st to Wednesday August 8th. We are flying from the Bay Area.

1) I've heard that Von's delivers to some hotels. I'm staying at the Hilton Garden Inn (it's about 1.5 miles south of Disneyland on Harbor Blvd). I've tried contacting Von's to ask, but unless I want to actually make an order they aren't cooperating with my attempts. Does anyone have any personal experience with this specific hotel, or any of the adjacent hotels? Since I'm flying, I won't have access to a car, and don't want to waste precious Disney time grocery shopping if I can avoid it.

2) I have Select SoCal Passes, they expire August 9th. I want to upgrade to the Deluxe passes upon my arrival and pay the additional $180, to be able to use the passes during my entire trip (excluding the Sunday, where the Deluxe passes are blacked out). Can I do this? Is there a fee? Will they still expire on August 9th?

3) Speaking of passes, I never received any actual pass from Disney, I was given a ticket with a bar code on it, and never received anything in the mail. Is the bar code ticket my pass? I never had a photo taken, so I'm a bit confused. We upgraded the day after our park hoppers expired last year, they told us to go inside to get our photos taken OR I could upload them online. We didn't want to go back in (my foot was broken at the time), so we figured we would do it at home. I guess maybe I waited too long, because I can't find the "upload your photo" feature on my account. The site recognizes my bar code numbers, but that's about it. It says there is a $20 replacement fee for lost/stolen cards. It wasn't lost, or stolen, it was just never received ... will they charge me the $20/pass, or be nice and believe me?

4) Speaking of a broken foot ... I had reconstructive foot surgery at the end of this last March. There were slight complications, so I am unable to start physical therapy until next week. To give you an idea of the severity- I broke it 2 years ago, and was immobile for the last 4 months. I literally started walking earlier this week. My Dr says I can definitely go on the trip, but told me to listen to my body and not push it too hard. Considering it is my foot, it's kind of an all in or all out type of thing. If my foot says no, the answer is no- I would have to sit down and stop walking for whatever amount of time it takes for it to stop hurting. It's unpredictable (which is why I want Deluxe passes and am going for so long), it could hurt for 10 minutes or it could hurt for days. The last thing in the world that I want is to be a young seemingly healthy looking person in a wheel chair, but if that's what it comes to, then that's what it comes to. How does Disney handle this? Do I need proof of my "disability" or do they just take my word for it? And how exactly does that work with stand up shows (World of Color)? Would there be a place for me to sit and still be able to see? Can my fiance sit with me? Or least stand next to me? Do I have to show a cast member anything to be able to access a seated area? And in case of any no answers, can I bring in crutches? I can see how they could be considered a weapon or something, so just checking, haha.

5) This is probably a very dumb question- so I'll just make a statement. From July 31st to August 8th the weather is going to be HOT and the parks are going to be BUSY. If my statement is wrong (fingers crossed) let me know.

I think that covers all of my questions. Again, sorry if any of these questions are repeats, and sorry for telling you my life story to have 5 questions answered  They're just kind of random and a little specific. And thank-you so much to everyone who reads and/or answers some of them!!! :)

Fun Pick five properties for Tommorrowland

This isn't about actually proposing rides ...but I'm trying to run down a list of the properties Disney owns that would work in Tommorrowland. This isn't a debate thread of "that doesn't belong there" because many people see things differently. And this isn't a debate thread about how we need original non-tie in rides (which we do). I just want to run down a list of science fiction, futuristic properties that would work in the land. Marvel will be counted as one huge chunk of property and be labeled Avengers because that is the most likely thing we will anything based off of. But that pretty much means Marvel.

Of the list provided or anything I might have forgot, choose the five intellectual properties that Disney owns (or has a partnership with) that you want to see featured in Tommorrowland. Basically, come at this with a complete clean slate. If you had to choose five properties ...which five would it be. It doesn't matter if it currently has representation.

Tron
Avengers
Wall-E
The Incredibles
Star Wars (not owned by Disney ...but there is a partnership there)
Lilo and Stitch
LOST (certain elements)
Buzz Lightyear
Honey I shrunk the kids
The Computer that wore tennis shoes (or something like that)
Flubber (whatever the original was called)
Treasure Planet
Atlantis
Captain EO characters and story (I believe Disney completely owns this stuff)
Race to Witch Mountain
Chicken Little
Meet the Robinsons
The Black Hole
The Cat from Outer Space
Mars Needs Moms
The Rocketeer
John Carter
Avatar (not owned by Disney ...but there is a partnership)

---------- Post added 05-16-2012 at 04:52 PM ----------

My personal five:

Tron
Avengers
Wall-E
Star Wars (not owned by Disney ...but there is a partnership there)
LOST (certain elements)
