Take a look at the new Big Grizzly Mountain Coaster udate in th LA Times link above. It includes two new artwork renderings. They assert that the previous xpectd opening date of 201/2015 could bebuped up o 2012.

Guests will experience a numbr of catstrophic sitatins... including medling bears, a collapsing mine shaft, and a dynomite blast. reiodially durin the ride, the train will careen though a ransackled mining town that is complete with a saloon, jailhouse, stagecach and water play area.

Construction of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Mega Bridge to begin soon (probably end of 2009)
Once completed, it will link up Hong Kong with Macau and Zhuhai.
More Mega resorts development coming to Macau.
Plus a RMB10 billion Ocean Resort (with theme parks) at Zhuhai, 1st phase of the Mega Ocean Resort to be completed by 2011.

另外，迪士尼增建三個主題區後，第一期土地仍有七公頃用地，預留作興建遊樂設施，預計可再加建多幾個主題區。迪士尼本擬在今次擴建時，引入全球獨有的「冰天雪地」（Glacier Peak），以冰雪高塔、室內真雪及過山車作招徠；但因港府擔心與海洋公園擬建的「冰極天地」主題重複及互相競爭，最終「冰天雪地」遭否決，換上飽受批評的反斗奇兵歷奇地帶。據知迪士尼仍未放棄「冰天雪地」，希望下一次重建時能引入本港。

Mr. Kam says he is not worried about the New Disney Park at Shanghai cannibalizing the attendance numbers at HKDL. "We'll take an international positioning strategy for HKDL as the world's local theme park".

As far as HKDL's expansion is concerned, originally scheduled to be completed in 2014, the same year for the opening of Disney Shanghai. He said they would speed up the design, start early and complete the expansion earlier. He added that HKDL is only in operation for four years, has a lot of room for growth, and land has been set aside for further expansion.

A Westernland in HKDL!

Well here's the facts/factoids:

-There is a completely unused forth expansion plot due south of Grizzly Trail's plot.
-HKDL has talked of a Phase Three expansion.
-Grizzly Trail incorporates two themes; Bears(with BGM) and Wild Water(Geyser Gulch). Reworked clones of CBJ and Grizzly River Run could easily fit in.
-With actual less jolly pirates haunting Orient waters, a PotC in Hong Kong is vetoed indefinitely.So, could WRE finally shake off the dust and gallop out of proposal/concept Limbo?
