Sesame Street - 40 Years Old Today

I slept later than usual this morning, and while listening to the radio, they announced that Sesame Street will be 40 years old today.

I haven't watched the program in many years, so I decided to turn it on. I didn't find it on it's usual channel. I immediately noticed the things that are different and the things that are still the same. Today I will be a kid at heart, and I will celebrate Sesame Street.

Happy Birthday Sesame Street.

The Academy - Orange County Fire

I loved the original "Academy" series, on the Fox Reality Channel, which followed a class going through the Los Angeles County Sheriff's academy. It was very well done, and showed the rigors of what cadets had to go through.

I've not seen this new version yet. I'm DVR'ing the first three episodes tomorrow (11/7) to get caught up.

Anybody seen this yet? I wonder if they use the fire training facility that's just off of Orangewood Avenue, across the street from Angel Stadium.

Nobody has started a thread on this yet? I'm shocked!!!

Who else is watching? We watched the premiere last night and I thought it rocked. Absolutely kept with the spirit of the original with some new stuff thrown in to make it it's own.

I'm the only one who has seen the original but I'm debating renting them so the rest of the house can see them. But then again, not sure I want to ruin anything. Maybe I'll wait a few weeks.

favorite season of boston legal？

Boston Legal season 5, one of the most intelligent and funny shows ever to air. It will be sorely missed by those desiring tv shows with actual substance, but judging by the continued popularity of dreck such as American Idol and Dancing with the Stars those people are few and far between.
The fifth season is wonderful, albeit short. Aside from the slightly awkward "Thanksgiving" there is not a weak episode to be found. I highly recommend this and all other seasons of Boston Legal.

I only saw a few episodes of The West Wing when it was on TV but liked the show a lot. When I got it for Christmas this year (2006) I was delighted. However, I had no idea how much I would love the show after seeing it in sequence. The biggest surprise was how much my husband loves the show. He didn't care much for it when he saw one of episodes before. Seeing the characters develop is so interesting.

Greetings Whovians from all over the Whoniverse.

Since the Doctor Who Miceclub has gone the way of the Dodo I'll post this here.

As the end of David Tennant's reign as the Doctor nears closer I thought I'd post a link to the trailer.

I'm excited to see Matt Smith as the next Doctor but a bit sad to see David go. Oh well.
I've been a Who fan since the mid 80's so this just goes with the territory.

Waters of Mars airs in England on November 15th on BBC 1 and will air in the States on December 19th on BBC America.

Classic cartoons, featuring Mickey's newest voice actor.

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but it seems that the new voice of Mickey Mouse is being tested in shortened versions of classic cartoons. I think the voice is slightly off, I dont know why but its just not the voice I grew up with, I am sure he will grow into it though, and he is close enough, that in time he may be able to match his voice, and add a little bit to it.

Your thoughts anyone?
