The Mice Age blog every year hosts what it calls the Triathlon for Disney Fans. It’s competition made up of Disneyland enthusiasts who get together in teams to ride every ride in the park — or even the whole resort — in one day.
The event is May 30 and costs $24.99 per person – admission to the park isn’t included. Mice Age organizers say just under 200 people have signed up for the rally this year, and there are only about 50 tickets left.
“You have to be the model park guest — no running, no cheating, no cutting in lines and no disrupting of anyone else in the park that day,” said organizer Norm Gidney, 35, of Costa Mesa.
Gidney, who goes by the handle “Fishbulb” on Mice Age, said that teams have to stay together — members can’t split up and ride seperately to save time.
Furthermore, he said teams can only use means available to every park guest. So, Gumball Rally participants can use FastPasses that reserve a place in line for a specific hour, but not special assistance passes for team members who are disabled.
To prove every team member actually rode all the rides they say they did, organizers will ask general questions at the end of the day.
“They’re questions that anybody can answer,” Gidney said. “But things you can’t bring to mind. Something very up-front, not trivia. Like, ‘How many tunnels do you go through on the Casey Jr. train,’ or ‘How many left turns are there in Space Mountain.’”
