Would you be interested in an iPhone/iPod Touch app?

I'm taking a poll here for our iPhone users. I'm working on an iPhone app for MiceChat. Basically, it would be a direct interface into your PMs, the Forums, and our Front Page! It's been a little fun project designed for our most active users. However, due to the complex nature of iPhone programming, my time invested is getting significant - and I wanted to see the general idea of how many people would use the app to release it.

    Here's what would be offered:

MiceChat LITE - FREE! - Get direct access to your PMs, basic forums, and our front page content on your iPhone. Would contain Mobile ads.

MiceChat Pro - $1.99 - Everything that Lite has, but more! Supports clubs, visitor messages, and would be Ad free. Might support Push messaging when 3.0 comes out (depending how hard it is to implement with the vB backend).

Be sure to respond to the poll. I know we've got lots of iPhone users out there, and I wanted to make sure it would get plenty of use to keep it active.

Re: Would you be interested in an iPhone/iPod Touch app?

I got an ipod touch recently and would use the lite version. However, since I can just access MiceChat via Safari, provided that I'm around a wi-fi hotspot, it may not be worth all the time that you'd have to invest into this project, Monorail Man.

This would be much faster, as the HTML overhead would be minimal. I've allready invested time to learn how to do some iPhone programming, so I'm curious to see if I should round out the feature set, and what everyone would be interested in.

Heck ya. I have an iPod Touch, but I'd still use it.

i too use Safari on my iPhone to access micechat but find its not as easy to navigate as getting online when i'm at work..however they are starting to shut down access to a lot of hte internet here at so i would be more than happy to pay the 1.99 to make things easier for me to just use my phone

    VERY excited about this MM!

I don't have an Iphone, but my wife does. I know she'd love to have one, and not the free one.

As it is I already have an Internet shortcut on my iTouch, so an app would be fantastic streamlined way to get what I want even faster. I know I'd look forward to this!

I voted yes. I don't have an iPhone but Hollywood1939 does. I always steal his phone when I get the chance.

Re: Would you be interested in an iPhone/iPod Touch app?

I may also be able to create a MiceChat widget for mac users with some of the coding from the app. Unless Monorail Man somehow encodes the script...

Just out of curiosity, do you have a Mac, Monorail Man? It would be a whole lot easier to make the app. I am assuming if you don't have a Mac, you are writing all the files out by hand? Looking forward to the app!

Re: Would you be interested in an iPhone/iPod Touch app?

I don't know. I have tried using 'craigsphone' and have gone back to just using the browser for craigslist.

The way I use MiceChat is to go straight to 'New Posts', that feature as an option in an iPhone app (Open straight to 'New Posts') would make it a winner for me.
Maybe you folks can tell me though. Does gettin' two womenfolk mean you're the winner or the loser?

I would just use the browser. It works just fine.

if it speeds up the load times and I have full access to the Gold section, I'm in for the paid version.
