Why do some threads get moved to unreachable places?

I was following a thread when suddenly someone moved it to a location that I couldn't access. When I tried to access it I got the following message:
you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
    1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? Check the features page to see if you have access, and the status of your account.
    2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. Check the features page to see if you have access, and the status of your account.
What is the reason for this?

Same thing happened to me! What gives?

Re: Why do some threads get moved to unreachable places?

If a thread is in the wrong forum, it gets moved to the right one, but maybe there was a glitch.

Or, if the thread devolves into an argument or get inappropriate, it can go to the litter.

They would be wise to leave it. I find Micechat kind of clunky to navigate. This would be good to let people that just frequent this part of the board in on the their secret.

It's fine with me, it happens to me too. You can look it up in the advanced search bar if you are looking for a specific topic.

When you sign up for MiceChat the first thing they tell you to do is to read the FAQ's

There's no need to clutter up the most popular forum here with stuff that has nothing to do with the subject of this forum.....imho

And if it's a debate involving politics or religion, it can (and likely will) be moved to the Debate Lounge.

Ah! I didn't see this question in the FAQ. I will go look again.

    Thanks.

Re: Why do some threads get moved to unreachable places?

Sometimes threads have nothing to do with Disneyland and they get moved. I know that I moved a thread about WDW from the Disneyland to WDW section yesterday.

Some threads are regarding political subjects and as Mr. Wiggins said, those will get moved to the debate lounge.

And if a thread gets moved to somewhere like the debate lounge thats in the Gold section, and your not a Gold member, you'll get a message saying you don't have permission to access the thread, like the message you got here.

Very rare but it does happen. Especially if the thread is filled with posts that break many of the rules on Micechat, involves harassment, offensive dialogue, cyber-bullying, trolling and the like. To better serve the community, it's better to remove it entirely than to spend hours finding only the certain posts in question.

I personally hate having to do things like that but we have members of all ages and sometimes we have to do that to keep this place as clean as possible.
