Anyone else finding the site extremely slow for the past couple of days?

I'm having all kinds of problems getting pages to load. The only thing I've done differently is upgrade Firefox to the latest version, but I'm not having any problems with any other site I visit other than the forums here.

    Thoughts?

Same problem. MiceChat is slow in IE7, 8 and 9, Firefox 3.6 and 4 as well as latest Chrome build.

In some cases, it takes 15 seconds to post a quick reply and up to 30 seconds for a thread to load.

We're a big and growing site - and with all the coverage on the changes (like the Haunted Mansion, Maliboomer Park, etc.) we've seen larger numbers on the content. We're adding on some more stuff to help us out with the extended load soon.

If MiceChat feels too slow to you until we get this additional capacity, just log out. Guests see a cache that loads much faster than when you're logged in.

thanks mm for the info. The site is working much better now than it was earlier. Last couple days I've had extremely slow loading (leading to double posts) and a lot of 504 errors. Your continous work to keep the site up annd running as well as it does with all the features is very much appreciated (even tho we all complain tons any time something doesn't work....but this is the site with people spending page after page arguing if things are off center so that's expected )

The problem with that solution is that I primarily use Micechat Gold, a service that I just paid to renew. And, as far as I know, logging out won't allow me to view those forums at all. Meanwhile, It just took me almost 20 minutes just to get from the debate lounge to this forum, then bring up the "reply" box so I could respond. Normally, that would have taken about 15 seconds.

It's one thing to complain about something that is free; another when you have just paid for the service. Please try to fix this as soon as possible.

For those who don't follow us on FB, this is from this morning:

MiceChat.com | The Happiest Place in Cyberspace...
Folks, MiceChat has been having some serious server issues. We are aware and working on it, but this will require extensive and expensive repairs. We may not have a complete fix until Sunday. Until that time, you may experience long page load times during peak times of the day. We are doing everything we can to resolve the situation as quickly as possible
And also this was posted about 3 hours ago:

MiceChat.com | The Happiest Place in Cyberspace...
Folks. We had to take MiceChat down to perform urgent repairs. We will post here and Twitter as soon as the site is back up.
