Notification e-mails

Is it just me, or have the notification e-mails been acting a little strange lately. I've been getting them hours after the post and then end up getting a bunch of them from the same thread.

Due to the massive amounts of e-mail sent out, vB sends them out in blocks of e-mails if there's over 50 to send in a period of 5 minutes. Popular threads also have limits on how there sent out.
