    Flash Optional Forums / MiceChat?

I've been trying to live without Adobe Flash installed on my desktop browser.

When I visit the MiceChat forum page, I get an alert telling me that I do not have Flash installed. I also use an iPad which does not have Flash at all.

Are there any plans to provide the same functionality without Flash? I don't advocate getting rid of Flash altogether because I realize that not everyone is using an HTML 5-capable browser.

It would be ideal to get an excellent experience with or without Flash installed, essentially making the site 'Flash optional'.

The flash is because of the ads... until they have an 'ad-free' version.. or you block the ads.. that's what you get

I was having some issues with the new version of Flash not installing correctly on Chrome. I had to re-install Chrome to get rid of the message.

Other sites just silently provide image ads instead of Flash ads, and don't put up an alert.

Without Flash installed, I still get ads on Mice Chat, they just are images or animated gifs instead of Flash. (And I don't mind the ads since they help support Mice Chat).

But if that is the only thing Flash is used for, and ads can be delivered without Flash, it would be great to get rid of that alert message.

then it would help to specify what specific page you get the alert on

in my simple testing.. I see it on the http://micechat.com/forums/forum.php page

And my guess is the radio station thing they put on the right side is not coded to be conditional based on flash support like ads can be.
