    MiceChat wrapup column on MiceAge

One request I'd like to put in, for what it's worth - would it be possible to avoid putting spoilers in the picture behind the MiceChat column that runs weekly on MiceAge? I just went to the MiceAge main page to see what articles I might have missed lately, and there was that big ol' spoiler picture from the Monsters ride. I've been making a concerted effort to stay away from ANY kind of spoilers about the ride (especially any pictures) and any thread that remotely seems like it might be related to the ride until I've had a ride myself (hopefully this Friday). And then I run into that with no warning. I was pretty annoyed. I can understand if the ride had been open for a while, but it's only been in soft-open for two days.

Just putting it out there. Thanks.

you could write the article in such a way that it shows the area, then has a link to skip the spoilers... I think Al did that in the past... and some photos are easy to repalce... like i have a few from WDW never used...

There was a link to skip the spoilers in my intro to the roundup.

I'm not even talking about the column itself. With the text on the MiceAge main page, I would have known that the ride would be discussed in the column, even possibly with pictures, so I would have known not to read the column. But the picture was on the MiceAge main page (still is, as far as I can tell), which is where you have to go to find out what the stories are in the first place. There's absolutely no way to avoid that if you're just browsing to see what stories are available on MiceAge.

BigDaddyKyle - I appreciate that you provided a way for people to skip spoilers in the column. I just wish the same consideration would be taken by whomever decided to splatter a spoiler picture on the main page.

Al is the one that does those. I am sorry if you did not like that pic being on the mainpage of MiceAge, but I think it was necessary to help convey that we have the first review of the new ride. I don't think seeing one pic will spoil the whole ride for you. I think that for most ppl it would just make them want to ride more.

Don't worry about it BDK. It wasn't anything that you or the Round Up Crew did. It was just a picture choice of Al's that CStephens is complaining about.

I know. I am just trying to make him understand why that Al probably used that pic.

You're right - one picture won't spoil the ride for me, but I would still have appreciated being able to make the choice for myself. And I disagree that the picture was necessary to make the point that the ride would be talked about. I think the text conveyed that quite well.

But hey, what do I know? I express my objection to two things in a couple of months (actually three - because I said I wasn't a fan of long sigs), and my reputation gets dinged and I get called a complainer and am told that I'm "always so negative". Pretty ironic, if you ask me. But I guess being anything less than a constant cheerleader is frowned upon.

ETA: BigDaddyKyle - I tried to send you a PM but got a message that your box is full.
