We have lots of things we want to recognize our members for so unfortunately if we used written words for everything the list would be huge. For that reason, we are looking to switch to badges. Well I like the idea of recognizing Gold Members but I think those icons are a bit to small. But you did say you were working on that.

I actually like the change in star colors. Platinum rocks!

But the idea of badges sounds neat.

At the moment, you will see your first star at 1000 posts and another for each 1000 after until you have 5. Get posting! The platinum stars are currently being offered for post counts of 10000 in the same fashion.

Look out because this all might just all change for the better some time soon.

It appears that for each 1,000 posts you will earn a yellow/gold star. They look more yellow than gold to me.

There's a limit on how many gold stars you can earn. They stop at 5.

You will then need to get at least 10,000 posts before being awarded a platinum star. Again there is a limit up to 5 of these platinum stars, each representing 10,000 up to 50,000.

I am working on getting that 5th platinum star myself. I have been here like forever, and having a super great time.
